Mike
Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - American rock group Green Day have made their highly anticipated new album, "21st Century Breakdown," available to listen to free online. The northern California trio's latest effort is set for official release on Friday (May 15). However, fans of this rock trio can hear the album in full via music streaming site We7.com . Their previous album, the 2004 release "American Idiot," sold nearly 6 million copies domestically and 12 million worldwide. "21st Century Breakdown" is garnering great reviews from many sites with The Chicago Tribune calling it a "rock opera written and recorded by Green Day." MTV compared the material to classic rockers like The Who while Spin Magazine claimed the title track is "Green Day's most epic song yet." The opus is divided into three acts: "Heroes and Cons," "Charlatans and Saints" and "Horseshoes and Hand Grenades." The trio has also confirmed an intimate club show in New York, offering access exclusively to "Idiot Club" members. The band previously announced a show at Webster Hall on May 19, and will also perform at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park on May 22 for the "Good Morning America" TV show. The band will tour extensively in North America this summer, with a show at Madison Square Garden on July 27. Their comeback single "Know Your Enemy" is available now.
