Sweet Jane 61
Lou Reed is the latest musician to join the Sirius lineup. The Rock legend will host a weekly show on the Sirius Disorder channel (Ch 70), beginning this Saturday, May 17 at 6 p.m. Lou Reed's New York Shuffle will be co-hosted by Reed and music producer Hal Willner. Lou Reed said, “For years, I’ve always been a fan of eclectic radio, such as FM radio in the past when you could hear stations play widely divergent music, ranging from rock to country to jazz to opera. I loved the days when DJs who did their own programming set the bar high. I learned from these DJs and it’s a delight, with my friend Hal Willner, to do this type of radio today on Sirius. We will try to bring Sirius’ listeners audio from all parts of the world that covers the whole musical spectrum.†
MuzikTyme
I never could quite understand the genius of Lou Reed. Don't get me wrong, I love velvet and underground music. I just think Lou never really focused on each. He shaved his legs and then he was a she. That's about it.
edna
I love him as an artist. He´s great on stage. And he made some great music without the VU (Transformer, Coney Island Bay, Berlin, Rock&Roll Heart) By the way, he got married to Laurie Anderson some weeks ago.
