Ombre Vivante
"Blurry Eyes" http://youtube.com/watch?v=45a4Ou2g-ps "Heaven's Drive" http://youtube.com/watch?v=ztXryki7UsA I suppose one could say they're an old band since they were around since the early 90s. I highly doubt most music collectors have ever heard of the band, except for the very few who saw the teevee show DNA^2 back in the 90s. They're still going strong, having released their latest single this year. They're not extraordinarily far out the way, say, Yellow Magic Orchestra or Ryuichi Sakamoto have been throughout Japan and the world, but it's decent Pop Rock if you don't mind not understanding a thing they're sayin
Uncle Joe
I like the band's name...from a Stevie Wonder Song-Rainbow In The Sky.
Red Fish
I for the most part find L'Arc~en~Ciel a little boring and repetitive. They have one or two unique songs here and there, but they come across as sorta just another Jpop band. Hyde's solo albums are quite good, though. Ombre Vivante
Which one is his best so far?
Red Fish
666 is pretty good. I haven't listened to them all, but I like that one enough to recommend it. EDIT: Roentgen is also a really strong album, but it has mostly down-tempo songs on it.
