  1. Well, on the day of my last exams I (very drunkenly) dived into the college pond, to discover it was only inches deep...covered in slime and with a beautifully broken nose, snot water and blood all over me, I went to the local florists and bought, from the cowering assistant, a bunch of flowers which I then took to my girlfriend's workplace and tried to give them to her...when I was removed, unceremoniously by security.

She got the flowers...but lost her job.

    We're still married though...which says something.(thirty years later) :)

  2. I got hooked due to the lyrics, reminded me of a long lost love. Sometimes I do get hooked on a song because of the lyrics and if the music is decent I will listen. His voice pulled me in too. Thanks again!

If you want one of the best 'lost love' songs ever try this link....click on 'Ghost'

    http://www.myspace.com/stoneystuff

    Try 'Best Laid Plans' too.

    :(

  3. BF You are clearly getting some sort of vicarious thrill from this thread. I, on the other hand, am proferring sound advice from the perspective of the altruistic and sexually secure savant.

Please temper your incontinent fantasies with a little restraint....Blue Fish may read this!

    ;)

  4. Ok now may be a good time to put on ZZ TOP's Pearl Necklace and take it from there....

:googly: Saucepot. ;) Well, if he isn't going to end up playing Willy and the Hand Jive by himself I think a bit of hand on shirt action is required by about now. But, to what soundtrack?

I Want To Make Free (Queen)?

    Love Shirts (Everley Bros)?

I've Got a Lovely Bunch of Coco-nuts (various)?

Keep us informed of the progress (or lack of it)!

    ;)

  5. Jim Morrison - Lead Vocals

Jimi Hendrix - Lead Guitar, Backing Vocals

John Lennon - Rhythm Guitar, Backing Vocals

    John Entwistle - Bass Guitar

    John Bonham - Drums

Hmmm, speaking as a 'John' myself, I can't quite see how you could ruin that line-up by including 'Jims'...especially Morrison, pompous bellower that he was.

I'd ditch the Jims and add John Coltrane and...err Johnny B Goode (he could play that guitar like a ringing a bell, after all) ;)

If you were a Jim, I'd ditch the John's and Add Jim Keltner on drums and sneak in one Mr.Page on bass and rhthym guitar...he could probably keep up! :)

  6. So Floyd.....how did it go...which song did you choose? Did it work?

My best result was with 'Fool If You Think It's Over' (Chris Rea's version)...front door to nookey in about 2 minutes flat (so, about 5 minutes in all then? , anticipating BF's reply here).

Recently...Made Up Lovesong by the Guillemots has proved a winner.

What happened? Tell us do. :)

  7. A reasoned...but unscientific response. It assumes that beauty is the prime motive for reproduction...it is not, it is survival. Bingo-winged chavs actually 'out produce' the average member of the populace and it is a scientifically proven fact that people with a diagnosis of anti-social psychopathic personality disorder have more children than the average, with more partners...consequently they have a greater likelihood of taking over the world...eventually.

Luckily they tend to die younger in accidents and murders...but usually they have reproduced before they do this...several times.

    Survival of the fattest?

    :P

  8. The Velvet Underground's 'Heroin' was about heroin, apparently...as was White Light, White Heat.

Alice Cooper's 'I eat babies, me' was a satyrical attempt to subvert baby consumption in eastern Europe and was similar in tone to the Whitesnake classic 'Slide It In', which, despite its lyrical subtlety, actually had a strong sexual subtext.

Anymore homework you want doing free?

    :P

  9. Creationist? Support your theory then. If you're going to take a stand as radical as creationism when the majority of the educated world is for evolution, you have to make sure your arguments stand up to any critique.

Hear hear....and, as for you Kevin...

I thought you were banned , Johnny me lad - or should've been .

...pusillanimous oaf that you now seem to be....what cousinry is this?

If I get banned (in the land of the free) for standing up and saying that creationists, their ilk and their oafish defenders are ignorant dorks who wouldn't know 'evidence' if it crapped on their heads...then, so be it. :(
