I love Styx's Mr. Roboto but when I play it in my apartment I turn it down because the walls are thin and the guys above me are Death metal. I think it rocks but I know what I think when the people next to me are playing Aerosmith.

Neil Young = Words/Between the Lines of Age, Albuquerque
The Stooges= I wanna be Your Dog

When I was younger I was in a ska band called The Cheapsk8's. We had horns and all that junk. I wouldn't say I'm into it anymore, but every once in awhile I will break out my Special's records and skank like I am 16.
No one has mentioned Operation Ivy. I think they were the last great ska/punk band. "Take Warning"
Tim and Matt went on to form Rancid.

Before three years ago I had never heard of them and I'm usually up on things. So I would say no they never took off but I could be wrong.
-
Roxy Music was popular in England?
I guessing five people here have probably heard of them and maybe one owns one of their records.

Yeh, How Many More Times is my all-time favorite Led Zeppelin song.
I got you in the sight of my guuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun.

How many bands can you name that have covered this song on record? I can think of 4.

I agree but Pat was in The Germs how awesome is that. I think Kurt thought that too.Yeah, but is that one of the best or worst LOLI liked them, or a few of their songs, mostly off the debut album, I didn't care much for Pat Smear though, he didn't belong in Nirvana IMO

The Led Zeppelin record cover was awesome but I love the The Velvet Underground's banana so I'm a little biased. It would have been great if they would have payed respects to such a great at least on greatest hits or something.

High Fidelity

Wire the Pink Flag record most of the songs are 1 minute long.
-
My Lou Reed favorite is Transformer.

I like them but every local band here tries to sound like them. The whole emo-hardcore thing has totally dominated the college radio for years down here because you know Florida is always up for a new fad(we started boy bands and the revival of ska).

Yes The Pretty Things weren't the Stones but "Midnight to Six Man" could compete with them any day but as a whole no never.
