I'm probably thinking of a different song, but I know that there is a song out there that was about Buddy Holly's death and the word 'pilot' was in the title. That's mainly the reason it stuck in my mind because I thought it was kind of twisted to do a tribute to the most famous musician's death in a plane crash with pilot in the title. The one I'm thinking of was performed by a British guy though, Mike something.
