  1. It depends on your taste in music...

    A few good ones are...

    Aerosmith - Angel

Art Garfunkel - Since I Don't Have You (GnR version too)

    Beatles - Love Me Do

    Bon Jovi - Always

Boyz II Men - End of the Road

Bryan Adams - Everything I Do (I do it for you)

Chicago - I Don't Want To Live Without Your Love

    Def Leppard - Hysteria

Doors, The - Love Me Two Times

    Eagles - Lyin Eyes

Elvis Presley - Can't Help Falling in Love

Guns N' Roses - Sweet Child O' Mine

    John Lennon - Love

    Journey - Open Arms

    Lenny Kravitz - Again

    Madonna - True Blue

    Matchbox 20 - If You're Gone

Meatloaf - Two out of Three Ain't Bad

Phil Collins - One More Night

    Righteous Brothers - Unchained Melody

    Rolling Stones - Angie

Terry Jacks - Seasons in the Sun

Tom Petty - Love is a Long Road

Tony Rich Project - Nobody Knows

U2 - With or Without You

    Whitesnake - Is This Love?

    ...just to name a few

If you're into older music, try checking out a few by Perry Como or Nat "King" Cole, (or even Wayne Newton maybe :P ) etc.

  2. Alice in Chains being a San Diego band came after the beginning of the Seattle Grunge thing.

It was Stone Temple Pilots, who incidentally were fairly rated.

Pearl Jam is more well known than Soundgarden, but why?

Commercial reasons, Pearl Jam had a better chance to attract a bigger audience.

I can't really think of any underrated bands off hand, to me they've all received a good evaluation from the press, I suppose if I try harder, I could list off a few.

  3. DOOM.

If anyone played that, you'd remember the cyberdemon was the big horned monster with the rocket launcher.

I remember that character, I had a hell of a time against it, back then I thought the graphics were the coolest thing possible, a lot has changed in games since then. I haven't touched that game in a long time though.

  4. My screen name is influenced by the farsighted book 1984 written by George Orwell. It habitually has to do with Kissinger?s discretion volume, directed towards the Stalin era of Russia, as well as WW2 & was quoted as "met with enthusiastic reviews from most of the idealistic press."

  5. gremlins-photo-gremlins-6200139.jpg

He produced this movie, but didn't direct. It's one of my all time favorite films though, 20 years later & it still doesn't fail to amuse me.

It's too hard to specifically choose just one film by him, so my favorite films Spielberg directed from each decade are.

    70's Jaws

80's Raiders of the Lost Ark

    90's Schindler's List

    00's Minority Report

  6. If you ... have the "Boston" album, .... look at it upside down

It turns from spaceships to guitars, which is a total classic.

My favorite unique album design in the past 10 years was Tool's Aenima album, which was a freaky 3D eye movement, it's the kind of originality that the art in music lately has failed to produce. Unfortunately I can't post a pic of it, because it requires it's cut grated cover for the effect.

    :stars:

  7. Does anybody else like them? I've been listening to them for 10 years now, they're one of my favorite bands from the 90's. Keenan can put a perception with his dark lyrics & in-depth vocals like no other I've heard.

    What are your favorite tracks?

    In No Order:

    Part of Me

    Opiate

    Prison Sex

    Flood

    46&2

    Eulogy

    Pushit

    Schism

    Triad

  8. I would go to see Bad Relegion, NoFX, Autopilot Off, Guttermouth, & Yellowcard

but since Lillix, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, Bowling for Soup, & New Found Glory are enlisted:neener: I think I'll pass

  9. One other note, why does everybody like "Black Hole Sun"? I hate that song. I hate the video even more. I would much rather listen to "Outshined", "Jesus Christ Pose", "Slaves and Bulldozers", "Superunknown", etc. Just wondering what the appeal is.

I agree, It's the only video of theirs that MTV really ever played (except for a few off of Down on the Upside, which was a decent album) I liked Badmotorfinger much better than SuperUnknown, but it had a few good songs like Day I tried to Live, Fell on Black Days, & 4th of July.

  10. During the broadcast, Clay Aikens had said about "Unchained Melody" in Ghost, "My mother wanted me to do a COVER of that song, but then a couple months later, Leann Rhymes did it, & my mother's dreams were dashed"

First neither wrote the song, it's not like he was completely robbed, & second he didn't need to talk about his own singing career during the clip, it was like the 3rd time he did that during the show. Hillary Duff's high powered statement was "Yeah I remember dancing to Stayin Alive yasyayayaboltjowianblk" The Countdown could've used wiser , more experienced commentary.

  11. July 16: Phoenix (Cricket Pavilion)

I may have to go to that, I need to find out when tickets go on sale.

    :drummer: =

Looking at that map, it looks like Minneapolis is the only Major US city not covered, which is still a surprise.
