  1. unfortunately it was answered with the Aerial by Dean Friedman suggestion. I foolishly forgot to mention in my original posting that it wasn't the Friedman hit.
  2. If there are any newer members want to test their abilities, or older members shedding the cobwebs of memory, I am looking for info on an American song from the mid to late 70's very much in the vein of Aerial by Dean Friedman. The only thing that I can remember about it was the ending where a girl says, "My name's Karen" and then the guy says, "That was my mother's name" This is then followed by something like the Star Spangled Banner or some other type of anthemic music. Please, Please help me. ::
  3. The song is actually called. "Little does she know" and was performed by The Kursaal Flyers. The single was released in 1976 and was produced by Mike Batt
  4. Definately was NOT Dean Friedman! I have been thru' his entire catalogue as I thought it was him originally. No luck. It was very similar to Aerial but definately ended with the lines, "my name's Karen", reply, "That was my mother's name". Definately American, probably prior to Dean Friedman. Must just keep searching. Damn, Damn, Damn, Damn!
  5. Desperately looking for info on mid to late 70's song which ends with the lyrics, (Female) "My name's Karen" - (Male) "That was my mother's name" Followed by something like fireworks or anthem. This is driving me NUTZ!! Thanks
