  2. Is that sarcasm? It's in his info the Buggles had 2 albums and then pretty much became Yes, shame they didn't stick around longer "Elstree remember me, I had a part in a b movie I played a man from history now I work for the BBC"
  3. Get your dick out of the potatoes and recognize the brilliance of Mr Trevor Horn, "We can't rewind we've gone too far"

  5. far superior list is awesome! But I'm also looking for obscure wonders. I think I'll make it 200 songs, remember to nominate your favorites I have the first inductee, The Spirit Of Radio by RUSH I've been listening to this one so much lately, and my grandest prayer growing up was that I was praying out of integrity not pride. And music is my outlet when the whole seems fake, it's all I have left that's honest. "All this machinery making modern music can still be open hearted not so coldly charted, it's really just a question of your honesty, yeah, your honesty One likes to believe in the freedom of music but glittering prizes and endless compromises shatter the illusion of integrity." so beautiful I could cry
  6. I will nominate a few of my favorite songs, add and change songs till we get a solid best 100 then I'll induct 01. Video Killed The Radio Star - The Buggles 02. The Spirit Of Radio - Rush 03. Goodnight Saigon - Billy Joel 04. Watching The Wheels - John Lennon 05. A Day In The Life - The Beatles add and change
  7. Song Names and Artist, I could do research myself. Unless you have enough people giving enough songs to be a contest. I'll make mix tapes to go along with the hymnal, maybe 100 songs likely 20 songs on 5 CDs possibly by a theme.
  8. Doing The Unstuck - The Cure Fire In Cairo - The Cure Beds Are Burning - Midnight Oil Sunny Came Home - Shawn Colvin Image Of Hell - Cat Stevens Hell Is For Children - Pat Benetar
  9. Chapter 1 One It was August 1995, incarnation "Andrew Sears" was playing in the water at Wildwood, New Jersey. He wasn't much of a fan of music at the time, but he had a some what interesting imagination. He thought turning the pillow over to make it cold was a sideaffect of a breathing disorder.    He remembers the family trip as the first vivid memory though splochy.  His parents decided to leave the things in the car, they were arguing on the way up. Everyone went to change right away happy to see us, and Mammie pulled her pants down right in front of him. His sister lost a hamburger from a seagull, and his cousin found a dime in the sand and gave it to him. Even then he wondered could the world really be real. He prayed to his grandma that nobody would have too much fun, and oh the eye browls on his mom could send him to hell!   While in the water, "Andrew" was always slightly physic in his young age. He channeled music as he frolicked through the water, the melody sounded light blue. He didn't really think the words that came as his built in epitaph, but rather recieved them, "the waves go crashing down, the water never drowns." He raced into the waves with that blue melody in his head, but pretended for some bizarre reason, he was an "animal" named "Chuck." Chuck saved the world but also ate people, and the "news" loved Chuck sightnings...and they were accompanied by that song. "Chuck" gave "Andrew" a riddle to solve: "the waves go crashing down, the water never drowns" Up until "Andrew" was 15 years old he'd hear that and frolic but finally like the Christmas bell did not ring any more. From those two lines the song grew with each trip to the beach, it wasn't till later "Chuck" gave "Andrew" the tagline and the title, "when I try to leave they holler, never lie to holy water." Fascinating, I thought it should be the theme music to some new aged baywatch. "The waves go crashing down The water never drowns When I try and leave they holler Never lie to Holy Water" It's really confusing trying to convey the way a kid thinks through language that is understandable. "Andrew" was sensitive to, "levels" which A Course In Miracles states, "All disease is a result of level confusion." Levels I guess, can represent guilt which isn't linear. Home was a different "color" or different "level", Each song "Andrew" would create would be a result of a level shift. It's hard to bring back all the songs he thought or scribed and pretended beanie babies sang them. "Andrew" knew about levels, the people didn't. He wrote a "black" song 20/20 for that transition from living room to forced bedroom good night. "Andrew" didn't know what 20/20 was but knew it came on after he was forced "into a new level." The song he tried to make like a rap, something you'd hear on the radio, something "grown up", whatever the hell 20/20 was, was apart of that level division. "you got me 20 things for Christmas and 20 dollars too, so you sing 20/20 yeah yeah, 20/20, all goes to your dad" That's a riddle "Andrew" is still trying to decypher but it's good to look into the pyschology of what a kid believes represents "adult" or "grown up." Kids don't start with any knowledge, everything they aquire is learned. What this song acknowledges is reciprocity, pedistals for "getting something" One Pelican Music Stuff Lyrics 01. Holy Water When I woke up this morning I knew we were going to the beach So I grabbed my hat and got in the van Because we were going to the beach Oh what nice cabbin, they left so clean And right now my family and I are going to the beach The waves go crashing down The water never drowns The suns so hot today It's burning on my face The food that I eat Gets sandy from the beach But it tastes a special way The waves go crashing down They make us fall to the ground Out in the water, Melissa runs from slaughter From the sharkly beast The waves go crashing down The water never drowns The suns so high today Tomorrows on it's way The time that I've been here Makes me look forward to next year Maybe then we'll stay Once more we'll cheer The waves go crashing down The water never drowns The suns so bright today I have to go away When I go to leave they holler Never lie to Holy Water So you come back again someday The waves go crashing down The water never drowns The suns so hot today I have to go away... 02. 20/20 You got me 20 things for Christmas And 20 dollars too So you sing, 20/20 Yeah yeah! 20/20, all goes to your dad You visit 20 times a year On 20 holidays So you sing, 20/20 Yeah yeah! 20/20, it'll drive you mad You stayed up 20 extra hours For 20 different years So you sing, 20/20 Yeah man! 20/20, it all goes to your dad 20/20, yeah yeah 20/20, yeah man (6 year old Andrew did a lot of acid) 03. Welcome To The Night Welcome to the night Where you should run in fright Welcome to the night You could lose your life Welcome to the day Where children run and play Welcome to the night Where the children start to fight Welcome children of the day Where the children run and play Welcome to the night Where the children start to fight Welcome children of the day Where the children don't feel pain Welcome to the night Where the children start to fight Welcome to the day Of Welcome to the night 04. Sing With The Camels Sing with the camels Day and night Sing with the camels Left and right Sing with the camels All around town Sing with the camels Up and down Sing with the camels Here and there Sing with the camels Everywhere (repeated 50 times about, I don't know why) 05. Everbody Loves Lollipops Everybody loves lollipops Yeah yeah Everybody loves lollipops Yeah yeah Everybody, everybody Everybody everybody (repeat 50 x, straightforward in message) 06. Responsible One of God's best creations Of our beatiful nation Must be forced to lie Explore the USA But stay safe Look out for strangers All other world dangers Always be responsible One of God's best creations Of our beautiful nation Must be forced to cry Explore the USA But stay safe Look out for strangers All other world dangers Always be responsible One of God's best creations Of our beautiful nation Must always be responsible 07. Loser You are a loser Just a loser A no friend, no one Someone with no love What happened? 10. I'm so happy to have found this section! Since I was 4, now 19 somewhere in the depths of astrology certain melodies and lyrics would just come to me. I never really learned a musical instrument, but I've organized 20 "albums" which are basically musical time capsules for my life. And I would record MP3s into audacity of me striking basic piano chords, as well as guitar. Any way it's very atypical but I think if people really understood the depths of PMS (it makes you bleed) it would be among the class of Lennon, Bowie, Dylan ect as a music fan. The songs I hear in my head are classics, but they don't turn out that way on paper. I have a strange notion that these songs will reach some kind of fame before the world is destroyed, almost like a destiny kind of thing. Any way, I'll post the history of Pelican Music Stuff here. Also I'm open to any ideas.
  11. There are none, free will I guess
  12. Hello, I had this idea for awhile to assemble a book of all my theories, favorite quotes, pictures ect. It would be just for me, something to carry around as my "personal Bible" Any way, I'm trying to come up with my "hymnal", that is a section filled with lyrics of the most "worthy" songs. I've written over 400 songs, and some will be my own and there are some songs I'm rather partial too, but as of yet no songs were inducted into the hymnal. That's why I signed up! Music fans it's up to you to nominate songs! I'm going to say the Hymnal should have 200 songs, and I hope to compile my book by the end of the week. Can you help me out?
