  1. The US version of DB was a compilation of that album, some singles and the previous album, Sweet Fanny Adams.

The rock version of FOTR is from the UK release of DB. The boys didn't have a follow-up to their single, Turn It Down, as they had just split from their writing team, Nicky Chinn & Mike Chapman. They decided to go into the studio and redo FOTR as a pop single - a good choice, it made UK number 2 and became their bigget selling single ever.

  2. Nice one!

Living in the UK in the 60s and 70s, a lot of my earliest TV theme memories are home- or Europe-based, alonside some classic US ones.

From the UK, we have Randall And Hopkirk, Catweazle, Quiller, UFO, Space 1999 and The Prisoner, to name a few.

    Europe gave us Robinson Crusoe.

The US had many more, eg. Batman, Banana Splits, Sesame Street, Tomfoolery... I could go on.

Always been a connoisseur, it takes a while for a theme to really grab me. I can't think of ONE from the last 20 years which fits the criteria of greatness I believe in...

    Cool thread!
