  3. Thanks Phil. Maybe we'll start a new Topic. How about: PRE 1980 SONGS WITH "HEART" SOMEWHERE IN THE TITLE (that charted in the U.S. or the U.K.*) 1. Can't You Hear My Heartbeat - Herman's Hermits (1965) 2. Heart And Soul - The Cleftones (1961)
  4. One thing I would like to do before I leave here is to have all of the missing Tens in the Archive updated. If anyone with a calculator and a little time can help Brad and I, please let us know. I've just changed Top Ten #326. The Great Pretender/ The Platters had already made TT #289, so it's inelibible. The new #10 is Down In The Boondocks/Billy Joe Royal. About time - it's been nominated about a dozen times before. I've updated 'Every Song/Every Artist'.
  5. That's all very interesting edna. We appreciate what you do here.
  6. That's very selfless of you Kenne. I'll have to diarise that week.
  7. As I mentioned to you in our PT Jeff, the flip of R.O.C.K., JM's cover of 'Under The Boardwalk' got as much airplay here in Australia as the A side. I like it better. Old Bob sure has a following here in our TT. I like songs of his that other artists cover best. I enjoyed your little news clip and think your current National Anthem is quite safe.
  8. Don't Leave Me This Way - Thelma Houston (1976) Tequila - The Champs (1958) Tossin' And Turnin' - Bobby Lewis (1961) I changed one.
  9. I'll go along with that. See how the Poms* jumped on the bandwagon. They embrace him as 'British'. * Pom/ Pommy: what Australians - usually affectionately - call the English.
  10. I'd probably go with you there Tim. Ron - wait till you see my PTT for 50+ year old songs. But they're not really vague ones; mainly all Hit singles.
  11. My pleasure. It was certainly a listening experience Ray. Your #1 was one of the ones I knew when I heard it.
  12. HUMOR ME AND CHECK OUT THE SONGFACTORS' CHOICE TOP TEN ARCHIVE.
  13. Good nomination Tim. But as I said to my Son-In-Law who's huge Old Bob fan, he wouldn't get past the first round of any of these TV talent shows. One of the greatest songwriters ever though. And I notice both RonJon and Cyberjudge nominated 2 songs each into the Ten this week. :guitar:

  17. Thanks Shawna. We'll post the results sometime tomorrow. Last chance for any more to vote. Funny, Kenne mentioned the "31st" somewhere. I jokingly Pt'd him and said "you mean the 1st. There's only 30 days in June". Then today I did the same thing ! 28th + 3 + 7 = 10 days.
  18. Well I didn't get the Ten up as planned. I don't think Sammy has been on the thread since I posted we would have a 12.00 midnight Saturday closing time for voting. As one of his nominations will certainly make it if he votes, I think he should be given an opportunity to do so. The song that would be knocked out of the Ten is one of my noms and shouldn't affect others. Goodnight/Morning All.
  19. edna, guess which Group Laurie nominated to #4 in our first weekly Top Ten ? You were here.
  20. Ditto Ben. And I didn't vote for one of them.
