Hey all - I've missed you. It's nice to be back.
-
So were we interested in doing a SF Choice best of 2012?
Yes!
-
Big congrats to Razor! Nice end to the season bulldozing us all the way to the finals. Wouldn't have bet on you to win it all earlier on thinking there had to be some weaknesses given your rough start, but I always appreciate an outstanding underdog win.
Congrats also to Carl and Ben for 2end and 3rd- well done ! :sing1: ...oh, and Phil for winning the consolation round. Looks like we gotta head back to fantasy football school, Carole .
Big, big congrats to Rayzor .... weren't you a FF virgin? Way to go on your first time out! Congrats to everyone else that placed - you did good!
Yep Kevy, we both sucked, but I think I take the prize there. I even had some really decent matchups, but the final points just didn't result in a win for me. On the other hand, in my other Yahoo league I finished in second place (after going 9-0 before a loss)which netted me 150 bucks. That was nice! In my ESPN Gridiron league (which is a fun one if you all ever wanted to try it), I ended up in third place. That was winner take all, so no cash for me.

I'll make sure he sees this Rocky, thank you.
-
Good movie! A favorite movie of mine, I just saw it again recently after reading the book. I'd never realized it was a book first, and written by a 17 year old girl to boot.
-
She's another of my hometown heroes. Her most famous song is on everybody's top ten list, and she sounds like she was a smart lady. RIP Miss Bass.

Damn we do good work - love it!
Following on the heels of our Winter Special is our winter break ..... I need one, Laurie needs one, and Brad just got married, he's counting other stuff right now. We'll be back mid January or so .... y'all sit tight, we'll see you then!

Merry Christmas Carl, and all Songfactors! A happy and healthy New Year as well!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELENA! :happybanana:
Heehee! Elena and I are the two oldest sexy thangs hanging around here .... that appears to be edna on the right, me in the middle, and I ain't going to begin to identify that third one (Shawna, or Laurie, or Lea, or ....)
-
I know what gallows humor is, and I understand your use of it. As I said, I mean no offense (really, I agree with most all your opinions on the issue).
It's a terrible thing to happen, doubly so on Christmas Eve. Sorry that it hit so close to home for you Laurie.
-
^ That's the only Mariah Carey song I like!
I listen (by choice) only for the few days before Christmas. Shopping yesterday my radio was tuned to the Christmas station, and I'll listen all evening tonight. It puts me in the spirit, but too much of a good thing is waaay too much.
-
Wrong thread for that (and I mean no offense) - this terrible situation and these heroic firefighters that gave their lives (for nothing!) deserve our respect, not our sarcasm.
This is so sad to hear Laurie - and especially at Christmas time. It's bad enough when these kinds of things happen, but when they happen at this time of year, it makes everything that much more difficult for those they leave behind. I hope they catch the lowlife scumbags that did this.

Give the man a cigar ... or something. Great list, Dancing Queen finally made it as well.

I agree completely. I just mean now, it feels too soon for me personally to indulge in the blame discussion. There is plenty of time for the whys. In these early hours I'd like to see less focus on him, more focus on them.
