Mosquito bites...my blood must be super tasty or something because they just ain't quitting.

It's great that Easter is one of the only 2 public holidays in NZ where I don't have to work or go to uni. Having a calm day is great.

I believe in aliens, i mean if the universe is that big and there's only us in it then it is a complete waste of space.
I don't believe in aliens as they are in the movies though, people always imagine them to be like humans, but when you look at all the different types of life just on earth no one can really guess what aliens would look or act like. Life on other planets is probably so different to anything we have ever seen or imagined that we wouldn't even recognise an alien if it stared us straight in the eye.

awww foolonthehill, did you realise that there are two chili peppers songs in the weekly top 10- snow & dani california?
Well I like RHCP, their music is good for driving to and it doesn't really bother me that other people like you don't like it or think it is unimaginative. For the record I think their older stuff is a whole lot better than anything they have released in their latest album.
It is a shame that so many of the 'young' generation that i guess you'd class us both in don't expand their music listening much further than what's in the top 40 countdowns but when i was 7 or 8 just about everyone was in love with the SpiceGirls, The Backstreet Boys and Hanson so you've got to admit that RHCP is at least an improvement.

Barely sleeps? Does Madrid ever ever sleep? I'm pretty sure we went out on a Thursday night and it seemed like a Saturday night because so many people were out there. Mind you we were apparently in quite a 'rough' area...and it doesn't seem to me like the Spanish sleep a lot wherever they live.

My terrible sense of direction Aaaaaaargh!

Valentine's is the stupidest holiday there is. Probably. Yeah, so... happy shove-your-affection-for-each-other-into-everyone-else's-face-and-act-like-idiots day.
Woah Mr Grumpy Pants! It's not that bad...
My Valentines day was pretty dumb though, I was supposed to go to a course in the city, but got lost in the city instead and ended up walking for an hour and 45 minutes trying to find it before giving up and meeting friends for lunch instead just so that it wouldn't be a waste of a train trip.
It turned out okay though, although i still wish i had found that course coz i think it would have been quite interesting.

I always lived in cities witth no less than 6 million people... I wonder what it would be to live in a peaceful place like those you live in...
My whole country doesn't even have 6 million people!
I found it really wierd in Spain how most people lived in apartments around the main town centre and pretty much no one lived rurally.
I live in Auckland which I'd say would be the most populated city in New Zealand but everything is quite spaced out so we have room to breathe

I want crispy bacon and crunch hash browns

I had marmite on toast and a cold milo for breakfast...how very kiwi.

Here it's pretty good:)... of course while all you are soaking up the sun in a few months i'll be complaining of the cold miserable rain.

boredom...i could clean the house of course, but cleaning up after other people annoys me way more than being bored. I can't wait til uni starts

I seem to have inherited a lot of my music taste from my parents after growing up on the classic rock radio station.
Dad and I particularly share:
Hotel California
Stairway To Heaven
and some punk stuff like the Sex Pistols.
He also knows random new music thanks to some of his younger work mates so he isn't as closeminded about music as mum can be...

I don't mind them, I prefer their latest song to any of their others.
I don't really understand the whole emo thing though, I know that people have been dressing as their favourite musicians or to a certain image to go with the music for years but I mean if I was to decide that ZZ Top was my favourite band tomorrow, I wouldn't feel oh so compelled to grow a beard yknow?

I've heard Shihad will have a new album out soon, so i'm looking forward to that.

Mine have all been said...

You can't get into clubs at all?
I'm not sure?? My friends and I have created a plan to try and get me in, which involves one of my friends (who apparently looks just like me although, i don't really believe it) taking her passport, so that i can take her drivers license and try to pass as her. We'll have to enter separately and hope the bouncers don't notice.
I'm not sure if this will work, and if the bouncer doesn't believe the license there's a chance that they'll confiscate it which'd suck for her. But hopefully we will find a club that'd accept it.
But aaaaaargh, i'm trying not to be impatient, but it annoyed me when my friend Jesse turned 18 and i couldn't go out with him for his birthday. I'll get over it, but starting uni without being 18 is gonna suck...plus the minimum wage for an 18 year old is $2 more than that of a 17yearold, and starting uni i really need the money...
pretty much i think once you go on to tertiary education you should be upgraded to 18+ status no matter how old you are...

We didn't even have to this time, even though a record number of tickets were sold, we just left Tool early since none of us are hardout fans of them.
We saw a lot of acts, I was a bit disappointed with the Killers, seeing them live is pretty much the same as watching them in a video, but my favourites were Kasabian, Hot Chip, Spankrock, The Violent Femmes-who showed they could put on a great show. And Muse who were just amazing...
-
I quite like the line up this year, I really hope i will get to see the Violent Femmes, they're the last act and at last years BDO we ended up crawling through trees to see Fat Freddy's Drop which was the last act, only to find the crowd of people too huge there was no way we could fit so we had to crawl back through the trees and I lost my friends in the process. I found them about five minutes later- apparently i'm a faster tree crawler than them
But i suppose it's all part of the experience...

I listen to spanish music, but it's mostly pop, although i really like spanish hip hop too because they use different instruments than the mainstream over here which makes it more interesting and danceable.
