  1. I didn't realise that some versions of the In Utero album by Nirvana came with an extra track which plays about twenty minutes after All Apologies has ended.

I got such a fright the first time I didn't change the cd as soon as it was finished and that track started playing really loudly after 20 minutes of quiet study...i thought my house was haunted or something until i googled it.

  2. I hate people who comment on how quiet I am, then DO NOT STOP talking about it. Just shut up! I do not get paid to be your bff. I got work to do here kids! Yeah, I'm quiet. SO F@(%^$# what!

I get that sometimes I know exactly what you mean. For some reason people think that by stating the painstakingly obvious over and over that maybe they can prompt you to talk more or something...but as well as being quiet I am stubborn so if they keep going i won't speak at all and just use facial expressions to reply to whatever they say

Ugh so people who state the obvioius...on anything at all really grind my gears...as do the upcoming exams :(

  3. I just suggested "Rubber Soul"... sorry, the titles are actually the names of the songs of the cd... I´ll edit my post...

   I realised that after I had logged off and was going through the names thinking 'wow they named so many albums after songs, how come i haven't thought of these?' but I went to bed so couldn't really be bothered getting back online to fix that. That said though for some reason my parent's music collection while growing up was always lacking the Beatles, so I'm thinking maybe I will have to borrow some of my friends' cds and get properly acquainted.

I ended up buying Rubber Soul and i know she'll love it. Thanks for the suggestions :)

  4. Wow thanks, aaargh so much choice but the music shop i looked in today was so disappointing and had none of what is in your list so I'm planning on going to a much better one tomorrow. So hopefully there I won't be stuck for choice, surely there should be a whole wall dedicated to the Beatles or something...

  5. Hey everyone,

I have a friend's birthday coming up. This friend is completely in love with the Beatles so I wanna buy her a Beatles cd that she doesn't have.

I know for sure that she has the Sgt. Peppers, Love and Let It Be Cds so I'm just wondering if you have any suggestions for other great albums(that won't cost too much) from the Beatles that she might like- possibly something that's a little different...or maybe not.

Yeah so thanks, your opinions would be appreciated :)

  6. Hey, I thought here people could share their favourite tv ads- whether on now or from ages ago, whatever. I think a lot of mine have quite a kiwi edge to them so I'd be interested to see how they compare to what other people are used to.

Here's a couple to start it off...

    L&P Ad

    Trumpet Ad

  7. Yeah, Children Of Men was a terrible movie. Shaky camera does not a good movie make. Shaky camera = amateur video project in high school.

I agree, I only saw about half an hour of it, but it did not grab hold of my interest at all. I was meaning to see Pan's Labyrinth that night or El Laberinto Del Fauno- since it's a Spanish language movie, but the idiot kid at the ticket counter told us we could hold enough tickets for everyone and then by the time I got to the counter he said it was sold out, ugh.

So if anyone has seen that I'd really love to know how it was.

So I was pretty much forced to watch Saw 3 instead. I guess it was okay if you like that sort of thing...but I don't. I think the storyline was weak, repetitive and predictable, it could have been better if the writer's used their imaginations for more than just thinking of sadistic ways to kill people.

Oh... and I saw Ray the other week. It was a fantastic movie, great writing, acting and camera movements...it felt real to me. I'd give it a 10/10 and recommend that anyone watch it, it's such a fascinating movie.

  9. Or just get the tracks off free download sites- those record companies must be hiring absolute genius'.

I'm thinking now that maybe it wasn't my cd that started that virus, a friend of mine has the same cd and nothing like this happened to her but i'm not gonna play it on the computer now that it's fixed just in case...

  10. Sorry, I had no idea where to put this question.

I just tried to play a new cd on my computer but when i put it in I kept getting virus warnings from our internet security. So I the computer has a virus which has affected a few files including the internet security and I think it must have come from the cd.

I'm just wondering whether this is some kinda new hardout copyright protection measure cd labels are using or if it is actually possible to get a computer virus from an audio cd?

If any one knows anything about this kinda stuff help would be great because i'm not too sure what's going on. :(
