  1. Gilliann, what if the guy happens not only to LOVE Kiss, but has come to realize that Kiss is the way, the light, and the truth? Or, at least should think that now once he has realized, that since October 31st, 1976, he has given that very band enough money to cover the debt of a small third-world nation....

    Never mind...

    Ken.

Gillian, join us in the KISS Army. You get neat stuff! (or at least you did back in 1978, anyway)

  2. I hate you :jester: =:P

Ahem.....ladies and gentlemen....I'd like to announce right now, for the next 39 days, Scott is going to be snippy. It will get worse before it gets better. Please do not take it personally, he's just waiting for some music.

Let's all bow our heads together and pray he makes it.

By the way, I waited at least 10 years for the 3rd Boston album to come out.

We've got ten.....do we hear eleven??!!

    *tap*tap...Is this thing on?

  3. Political!!?? (in the voice of the doorman on the Wizard of Oz) Well why didn't ya say so!!??

The mother of all Viet Nam songs is Country Joe McDonald and the Fish, "The Fish Song"

    One verse is,

Come on all of you big strong men,

Uncle Sam needs your help again. Got himself in a terrible jam

Way down yonder in Viet Nam

Be the first one one your block

To have your boy come home in a box

    Or something to that effect.

  4. I remember not being able to sleep the night before KISS Destroyer came out. I was around 12 or so. I was in the infancy of my love affair with music and I loved KISS so much, they could have probably released an album of random guitar tuning, and I would have loved it.

While it's one of their best, I still like Dressed to Kill best.

I know, I know, "You like KISS? They SUCK!" It's not like I've never heard it before.

Are they great song writers? No. Mostly Gene Simmons write about sex sex sex, and Paul Stanley isn't much better. Their musicianship isn't going to get them on any 'greatest' lists, either. But I loved them just the same. So did every other kid my age at the time.

What's cool, though, is I had all their stuff on album, and when I converted to cd, I never replaced them. So I didn't listen to them for like, 10 years. Then one day I bought Rock and Roll Over out of the bargain bin, and it was all fresh again. Over the following year, I eventually replaced all their stuff, and now, I'll burn a "new" cd every six months or so. Sometimes, just mixing up the order of songs give a cd an entirely different ambience.

Anyway, sorry for going on a little "in defense of KISS" tangent. I guess I got carried away. When you enlist in the KISS Army, it's for life, I guess.

KISS RULES!! SHOUT IT OUT LOUD!!

    Oh...ahem..sorry....never saw that coming.

  5. Aerosmith ~ Permanent Vacation. After that, they took a permanent vacation from being Boston's Bad Boys to being Corporate poster boys. Tyler went from 'being' Steven Tyler to 'look at me, I'm being Steven Tyler'

Phil Collins ....don't know the exact time, but it was when he started writing exclusively for Disney soundtracks. One long, bad song.

    Ditto Elton John.

  6. Ok, this should be easy for all you music fans. I was listening to the U of D staion on the way home, and heard a great song, but I don't know the name. Here's what I have:

I think it's called "Oh Leah"

    I'm pretty sure it's from the 80's

Towards the end, the over lapping vocals ars saying "here we go again (go again, go again)"

No idea who the artist is, as the University's station has no djs, it's all music(which is nice)
