MarcM
This guy never fails to amaze me when he sings. He is 81 and giving a clinic on singing and performing at the Litchfield Jazz Festival this weekend in Connecticut. He sounds as good as he did in the 50's. He has done albums with Oscar Peterson, Charlie Hayden, Horace Silver and used to sing for Count Basie. He is a walking source of jazz history who was actually there. He knew Miles Davis, Cannonball Adderley, Charlie Parker, the list goes on. I am maybe a little biased because I live with the guy, but he has really raised my interest in jazz since I met him. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=159186561
