This is my fifteenth song, I wrote this last night shortly before I went to bed, progressive rock tune.

"Running to Find Eternity"

The stars fade into forever,

leaving behind a dismal night.

No ruler to lead a country;

a wounded eagle in flight.

Living under a waning sun,

man turns to the sword over love.

Fighting brutal wars with nothing won,

executions for the mourning dove.

Standing alone at the edge of the world,

searching through the obscurity

for any shred of integrity.

Running to find eternity.

Reservoirs of horrors,

held back by a flouting dam.

The burning of a serene village,

by the peoples' own hands.

The head of a pin eclipses the moon,

the needle that sheds the empire's blood.

A tempest rages above the world,

now there's no escape from the flood.

A new star shall shine,

and bring forth a new day.

A bud on the vine,

when the old has withered away.

Standing alone at the edge of the world,

by the pummeling grey sea,

searching through the obscurity.

Running to find eternity.
