I'm not sure if you're familiar with that album but just in case ... it's the one with "Go For Soda," AND "Lager and Ale." When it arrives, don't forget to crank those 2 tunes up
Also, if you ordered "High Class in Borrowed Shoes," not only crank the title cut but "Oh! War" as well. Actually, crank it all up!!

I'll do that - I did get Borrowed Shoes and Universal Juveniles and one other of their original catalog (not a best of collection) I can't remember the name of that one.
I do remember "go for soda" - it was my favorite album in like 1982 or so - everything from 74 till 83 is kind of blurry - but I know I was there cos I remember stuff from 1973. Love ya -

I have to say Deer Hunter or Private Ryan, well maybe Full metal Jacket ... my personal favorite - though it's not as great a film as the others is Jacobs Ladder...Intense.

There is a song called "song for a rainy day"- It's by a band called They came burning, I couldn't find lyrics for it but it's very heavy - almost Ramsteinish --- so I really don't think it's what you're talking about.

I think you must mean the video for "Goodbye Earl" by the Dixie Chicks - they had several guests in the video.
Oh - and the Dixie chicks are Natalie Mains,and 2 sisters whose names won't come to me. Hope this helps.

I had Universal Juveniles and Kim Mitchells solo debut on vinyl in the 70's and I've downloaded the few things I could find on line since I've been on the internet but I will definitely look for those and the others Ive never heard...is their whole catalog available on cd? - any idea where I can order them?

You know what the problem is with rap? It is akin to a modern day artist that takes a dump on a Canvas and tells
us that that is art!!
In otherwords, they are doing things that take no Talent in the least..........and that is why Rap is so appalling and deserves to join disco in the dustbin of history...
A 5 year old can create a rap hit......it is simply brutal idiocy that demeans true talent........Ironic isn't it....Black Americans have given us some of the most wonderful music from Gospel, Jazz, Blues, Rock ,R and B, Soul but they then give us Rap......ugh.....
Of course, we Whites cannot talk......we gave the world heavy metal.....bleech......
You really should listen to "the seed" by the Roots, it implies that Hiphop is the bastard child of rock and roll -
it's intense - also listen to "All good" by dela soul and chaka kahn and then tell me you don't like any rap.
If you don't like any metal I just don't know what to say- it's just the blues on meth...

Hi guys, I'm trying to make a tape up of summer songs and i wondered if anyone knows any cool old or new songs that i can use.
Also does anyone know the names of any american pop stars whose music sounds like Avril lavigne or michelle branch.
If anyone can help it wud be real great

I'm afraid John may have joined in with the tomotoe pelters when he heard what you said about nsync (no offense - some of my daughters best friends were nsync fans when they were 13) - but seriously - VIVE LA DIFERRENCE - Variety is the spice of life - and dozens of other cliches if I could think of them....I don't think any of my closest friends agree with me about very many things - they all think I'm too liberal, too quick to judgement or just too damn difficult. I love a good argument and I'll listen to anything once to give it a chance. I think people who say they don't like pop or they don't like country or rap or whatever- people who don't open themselves up to the whole range of artistic expression are missing out on alot of really good stuff.

You can never have tooo much Nirvana - and isn't Incesticide the best album name ever? well Nevermind - I love everything Nirvana, and Kurt wrote them most devastating poetry since Jim Morrison-(they really have alot in common don't they? :drummer:Oh, my favorite Nirvana song is "Heart shaped box" or the cover of "the man who sold the world", or maybe it's "you know your right".
