That is a good site, Mairi. I hope that it is theraputic for those who contribute as well as for those who read it.

I think that's a good decision. They don't want to turn into KISS.
Or the Stones......

Maybe a Boomtown Rat made a nest in his hair?
I missed the whole thing since I was working. I finally got to hear Pink Floyds set and it sounded great! My partner said he had heard they were going to be touring in 06....

Did Richard48795 move here from Ireland? He is reminding me of someone, who's name begins with a "K", that shall remain unspoken so as not to summon him, ala "Candyman" or "Beetlejuice."

Thats some story you both can tell! I am glad you were able to get hold of her. Are you guys gonna meet up?

Being a philanthropist does not preclude one from being a pedophile. When I was single, I spent a lot of money on women I wanted to get to know a little better. The kid that was given 20 million ten years ago was paid off because he was able to accurately describe MJ's erect member in detail. If MJ's behavior is not outright criminal, it is questionable at best. Where there is smoke, you will find fire. MJ's money and celebrity is what kept him out of jail.
As for the media in the US (and probably most anywhere else) they have a little guideline they use: "If it bleeds, it leads." As long as people that watch the news keep tuning in to see mayhem, carnage and general freakiness, thats what they will get.

I thought that stuff with the carnal kin folk only happed over here. Live and learn! Diggs, I have yet to get my package. I hope the Cadbury bar is not melted!
-
I had a pair of those, too JR! I guess I like older looking tennis shoes, as my two main pair are a pair of white leather Adidas Stan Smiths and some blue Vans.

Ah, so Diggs was the arch enemy of the Mod, a Rocker!!

I'll post the picture!!!
Be suspicious of dates sans hair....

Does anyone else see the irony in someone called "Happygrl"
asking "Does anyone happen to know which Eric Clapton song is about the boy who drowned?"

I believe that when someone dies (or in this case, a thread) there should be no loose ends. My song was 5 to 1 by The Doors. If you look at my prior posts in this terminal thread, it will now be painfully obvious...

I just bought "X- Live in Los Angeles" and was transported back to my high school days (in a good way!) They still rock and it was good to see Billy Zoom back with the band. I am going to start looking in the LA Weekly again to see if I can catch them live once again.

Ah ha! This would explain all the blank spots at the end of the threads....

Ugh,,,,I heard it......but it was the Axel F version. I turned it off after a few seconds.

I read an interview with Alice Cooper last night in the July issue of 'Uncut'.
The first thing they asked him was 'What happened with that chicken?'. He replied, someone threw it on stage, he just threw it back, imagining that chickens could fly, as they have wings. But the chicken fell like a stone and the fans tore it apart ~ not really his fault! It would have looked pretty dumb if he'd chased the chicken around the stage and then ushered it backstage during a song...imagine his reputation then! And you wouldn't expect to have livestock thrown at you at a concert, I mean, "keys, wallet, tickets, mustn't forget the chicken!'
I thought you were gonna say he dorked it,,,,

I like Bowie's music better. His albums were so different and original from everything else that happened to be out at the time. I saw him in 1984 (give or take a year) at Dodger Stadium and he was great!
Tour de France

Lacking the sports gene, I am surprised that I have really become interested in the Tour. I think that there are several factors contributing to my intrest. First, I used to be a bike mechanic when I was in high school (I was there for the birth of mountain biking!) and put on quite a few miles on the road as well as the dirt. Second, the camera work by the guys on the motorcycles of the racers really makes you feel like you are in the race, too. The French countryside is quite beautiful and makes me want to visit, in spite of what I hear all the time about the manners of the French towards visitors. In fact, I think it is only the Parisians that have garnered that reputation.
Finally, I have found out that this will be Lance Armstrong's swan song and he will be retiring after the Tour. I am sure most people in the US have already heard about his overcoming an almost surely fatal bout with cancer a few years ago (as evidenced by all of the people I see wearing those yellow rubber bracelets.) Not only did he beat the cancer, he is the only person to ever win 6 Tour de Frances and is now well on his way to #7. Anyway, I find the whole thing inspiring and make time to watch all of the legs when they come on TV.
Go Lance!
