  1. Why does "THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE" always get cut off to just "JIMI HENDRIX"? What would he have done if he did'nt have bassist Noel Redding and drummer Mitch Mitchell?

It's quicker to type. If he didn't have Mitchell, he would have gotten his other choice, Aynsley Dunbar. Actually Jimi chose Mitchell because of a coin toss. IMO, the experience was just as good with Billy Cox. But the real question is, what would he have done without Chas Chandler?

  2. "Kashmir" is probably about the band's trips to the middle east, I think there's a region in India called Kashmir.

Here's some samples from the lyrics.

"Oh let the sun beat down upon my face, stars to fill my dream

I am a traveler of both time and space, to be where I have been

To sit with elders of the gentle race, this world has seldom seen

They talk of days for which they sit and wait and all will be revealed"

    This pretty much explains itself...

"Talk and song from tongues of lilting grace, whose sounds caress my ear

But not a word I heard could I relate, the story was quite clear

    Oh, oh."

"All I see turns to brown, as the sun burns the ground

And my eyes fill with sand, as I scan this wasted land

Trying to find, trying to find where I've been.

Oh, pilot of the storm who leaves no trace, like thoughts inside a dream

Heed the path that led me to that place, yellow desert stream

My Shangri-La beneath the summer moon, I will return again

Sure as the dust that floats high in June, when movin' through Kashmir."

  3. More than likely the best of anything never becomes famous.

It's, on all occasions, the best to be anonymous.

    Thats very ture.

Probably the best guitarist is some unknown studio musician, who's job is to play guitar, not to entertain. But you never know.

But as for the best famous guitarist, I'm sticking with Hendrix.

    :guitar:

  4. SRV had an immense amount of talent. If you haven't already, try listening to songs such as: His cover of "Little Wing", "Say What", "The Sky is Crying", "Texas Flood", and "Rivera Paradise".

Not everybody likes him, but his talent is undeniable.

  5. And I'm curious, didn't Ozzy bite the head off of a dove (or some other poor small animal)?? Why isn't that on here?

I can't totally remember, but I'm pretty sure he did bite off a dove's head. And sometimes during a concert people would throw fake bat's on stage and he would bite thier head's off. But then someone threw a real one up their and he didn't know it.

Sorry if I grossed anyone out.
