Also Sublime has a interesting logo.
-
Black Sabbath's logo is pretty cool

My musical dream would be...
To be in a kind of famous rock band. Nothing too famous, just enough where only some people have heard of you. And somehow get paid enough from that to retire at 30 and buy a house on the ocean. ::

I agree, "Master of Puppets" is way better than "Metallica", aka The Black Album.

The movie Rock Star was a pretty good movie.
-
Oh, also some ZZ Top. Cheap Sunglasses, La Grange, Tush...
-
Maybe put some Allman Brothers in there too. Whipping Post, Midnight Rider.
-
Im not sure if it counted it, but I voted for Bob Marley.
-
Ive always like Metallica's logos.
-
I think Lynyrd Skynyrd`s "Was I Right or Wrong?" was sung by Steve Gains (not totally sure). Part was sung by Steve and the other part by Ronnie.
-
Ive never heard of Jimi doing a song called Cocaine. But he might have.
-
I chose Dark Side of the Moon. I love every song on that album. Plus, it was very original.

I like Van Halen better with Dave, but I like Sammy way better as a person.

I had to go with the 70`s. So many good bands out of this decade.

My dad likes to take me to a cafe where they play live jazz. Jazz isn't my favorite type of music, but I really enjoy listening to it live. I remember a guy named Ken Ford was playing there. He and his band were all extremely talented. The bassist pulled a slap bass solo along the lines of Les Claypool . The keyboardist really got into what he was doing, it sounded great. The drummer was absolutely amazing . There was a guy doing percussion, he had a very original sound. And finnaly the violinist, so smooth and easy to listen to. I walked out amazed at this bands talent.

I agree with MusikTyme. I think that today's state of music is pretty bad. Most of the current bands/artists are untalented and overmarketed. I remember someone saying that Britney Spears was 5% talent and 95% marketing. There are some very talented bands out there, but you never hear much about them.

Im not sure if Im going to see Rush yet. It should be a good show to see.
-
Mike,
It does sound like a good tour. Are you going to see Rush this summer?
-
I havent listened to School of Rock's soundtrack, but from the movie, it probably has some good songs on it.

Does the movie Dazed and Confused have a soundtrack?
If it does, Im sure its probably pretty good.

I didn't realize Noel Redding was dead. :: Thanks for informing me on that one.
-
Yes as far as I know he is alive. So is Noel Redding, Billy Cox and Buddy Miles. They interviewed most of his bandmates on one of his videos, and the video was from 1999.
