  1. forgetting sarah marshall: was pleasantly surprised, it was really funny! i loved seeing veronica mars in a movie, the lead actor was very funny, and russell brand's character was basically him! 8/10 30 days of night: entertaining, interesting twist on the vampire theme but like most horror films, a lot of it was pretty silly! 5.5/10
  2. kimya dawnson- remember that i love you - great! foals- antidotes - hasn't arrived yet but I'm very excited! i love the stuff i've heard on their myspace
  3. when we were visiting budapest, we went to this weird cave which was supposed to be an excavation where they had discovered ancient fossils etc. It was all very well presented but it turned out is was just a hoax!
  4. yeah, same here, I loved Fight Club, one of my favourite moves. You might be right about the age, although I've seen it several times since and still love it
  5. I would say that it's mostly about the lyrics
  6. I understand, I didn't think everyone would approve, I think it's a sort of weird taste!
  7. glad you liked it I was a little disappointed with adam green's solo stuff though, i much prefer jeffrey lewis to him
  8. The female half of the moldy peaches, Kimya Dawson is not exactly a new artist. With two Moldy Peaches albums and three (I think) solo albums, she is one of the important names in the "anti-folk" scene. you may have come across her music in the Juno soundtrack. I just bought her latest solo venture, "remember that I love you" and I'm loving it. here's her myspace page. "loose lips" is one of the songs from the juno soundtrack by the way. Here are the lyrics from the song "competition" I never wanted to be better than my friends I just wanted to prove wrong the people in my head the ones who told me I'd be better of dead the ones who told me that I would never win when I delivered newspapers they said I was too slow when I was a barista they said I made lousy foam when I worked in retail they said I was a slob much too dumb for school and much too lazy for a job so I rode my bike like lightning and I made cappuccinos that would make the angels sing took two showers a day and I dressed up like a princess shook my fist in my own face and said I'll show you who's the best I wrote the kinds of papers teachers hang up on their walls I was employee of the month at seven different shopping malls and one time playing football I pulled the tendons in my leg to prove that I was tough I hopped on one foot and finished up the game I thought if I succeeded I'd be happy and they'd go away but first thing in the morning I'd still wake up and I'd hear them say "you're fat, ugly, and stupid, you should really be ashamed no one will ever like you you're not good at anything" and sometimes I'd rise to the challenge but other times I'd feel so bad that I could not get out of bed and on the days I stayed in bed I sang and sang and sang about how crappy I felt no realizing how many other people would relate now people send me emails that say thanks for saying the things they didn't know how to say and the people in my head still visit me sometimes and they bring all of their friends but I don't mind I play my guitar like lightning when I sing I like it when you sing too loud and clear different voices different tones all sayin' "yeah, we're not alone" I got good at feeling bad and that's why I'm still here
  9. i give all my old clothes to the charity shop unless they are in a really bad state, usually they are not though. it's a total waste to throw them away one of the good things about ordering groceries online is when they deliver you can give all the bags back and they re-use them
  10. yep, I hoard bags too, I try and ask them not to give me a bag but sometimes I need one..
  11. terrible? really? I loved it! it had that happy feel to it and i thought she was really good!
  12. Happy birthday Kevin! Once again, I've just woken up so no surprises from me, sorry!
  13. oh wow I actually know this, I'm pretty sure it's been on the radio alot. it's quite good!
  14. I think I'm with the men on this, I don't really care for cards if they have some pre-printed message with a "love so and so". However, I do enjoy cards when some has actually bothered to write me something long-ish, for example the card I got at work when I left was amazing because everyone had written something and I read it several times
  15. ok maybe that sounded bad. so to make things right i'm wishing you happy birthday again
  16. omg i can't believe we are still celebratng your birthday!
  17. wow, i haven't heard the name deus in ages, I take it they are still together!
  18. he really annoys me, sorry, especially "war of the worlds"....
  19. the father was the worst character for me personally but apparently it is based on a true story, one of the writer's dad was obviously like that. I guess if they are going through such a tough time... although i couldn't believe that a child could get drunk at home all the time and the parents would never notice
  20. Hey Martin, I don't have anything fancy for you because I just woke up but HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! x
  21. "The Squid and the Whale", the dramatic and traumatic story of a family going through divorce. Quite awkward given how uncomfortable the subject matter is but interesting and very well portrayed. I give it 8/10
  22. no I don't think so either but I thought that was because they have been around for ages, I didn't realise they were obscure
  23. ST. Germain aren't famous either??
