  1. Yes! That was definitely the song. Thank you!
  2. I heard a song on this past Sunday's episode of "The Simpsons" that I can remember hearing on the alternative radio stations a couple of years back, but I don't know it's name or who sings it. It was played at the part when Lisa started filming her family at home, the lyrics sort of went like, "I put my camera on, I put my camera on the way.", but I'm really not sure.

Spiralfrog, the free legal download website has her "Mercy" as a free WMA download. It'll play on a computer and on a non-Apple MP3 player, but you can't burn it onto a disc. They'll probably eventually have her whole album. Here's the link. http://www.spiralfrog.com/pages/artist.aspx?artistid=892036&type=2
  4. It may be "I'll Be Your Secret" by Luis Fonsi. Here's the lyrics pasted from some website. I wanna be that guy who can say you âre mine When were standing in the moving light I wanna pick you out of a crowd Shout it out so loud So everyone hears me And I would tell all the world But if you decide thats not what you like If you wanna keep this quiet, then baby I™ll be your secret Promise you can keep it And Ill be your friend Whenever you need it Cause when Im holding you tonight Youll know our secret is right, so right [ill be your, Ill be your secret - promise you'll keep it] Sometimes I feel like tearing down these walls That keep us trapped inside I wanna take away their doubt Show what Im about So they can ignore me I wanna hold you tonight But no, no , no, no Thats not what theyre like No they wanna keep us quiet So Ill be, Ill be your secret Promise youll keep it And Ill be your friend Whenever you need it Cause when Im holding you tonight Youll know our secret is right, so right Dont let them tell you how to be Just open up your eyes and see That you belong to me (that you belong to me baby) Why should we care what people say? (Why should we care?) Why should we let them stand in our way? (Stand in our way) We dont have to be afraid Ill be your secret Promise youll keep it And Ill be your friend Whenever you need it Ill be your secret Promise youll keep it (promise youll keep it) And Ill be your friend Whenever you need it Cause when Im holding you tonight (Im holding you tonight) Youll know our secret is right Youll know our secret is so, Youll know our secret is so right I'll be your secret (I wanna be your secret) Promise youll keep it(I wanna be your secret) And Ill be your friend Whenever you need it (Whenever you need it) Cause when Im holding you tonight (tonight) Youll know our secret is right (Youll know our secret is so right) Ill be your secret I wanna be that guy who can say you âre mine I wanna give you the world I wanna give you the world I wanna be that guy who can say you âre mine I wanna give you the world I wanna give you the world Ill be your secret It's actually a remake of a Tim James song from a few years back.
  5. How about Hanson's "Mmmbop"? It has the lyric,"When you get old and start losing your hair, can you tell me who will still care?"
  6. After clicking the link, I can now hear that it's the Kings of Leon song. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.
  7. There's a car commercial, I think it's for Kia, but I'm not sure, that's about two guys going on a roadtrip. One says I'll pay for the gas and you pay for the food, and they never has to stop for gas. The song in the background is a rock song, and I think the male singer is saying, "You know you could have a been a wonder..,". Does anyone know what it is? I've tried doing all sorts of searches on it but nothing has come up.
  8. INXS' "Listen Like Thieves" makes references to radio news, so does Jason's Mraz's "The Remedy". Some songs I can think of that are about the media, from a celebrity's point of view are "Piece Of Me" by Britney Spears and "The Ballad Of John And Yoko" by the Beatles.
  9. That sounds like a very sweet thing to do for someone. Some songs I though of are "Oh! Darling" and "You Wont See Me" by the Beatles and "If Only" by Hanson, by that's just off of the top of head.
  10. There was a novelty song in the early 2000's by a fictional boyband called 2Gether called "The Hardest Part Of Breaking Up (Is Getting Back Your Stuff)", there's no 20 bucks lyric (though I thought there was) but at some point they sang "You took my sweater, my hat, I can't find my cat". Could that have been it?
  11. "We Can Work It Out", which was done by The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, and probably all sorts of different artists as well, might be a good fit.
  12. I'm not sure if you'd count them as a indie rock band, but I'd like to suggest The Click Five. They signed on with a major label, but you hardly hear about them from the mainstream media. Their keyboadist, Ben Romans writes or co-writes most of their songs. They sort of sound like 80's new-wave rock. Also, the bands that were featured on the "Next Great American Band" T.V. show were all up and coming and interesting enough to write about.
  13. I know there's a little known version of that song by Mig Ayesa, a piece of it streams at his official website. That might be it, but I really don't know because I haven't seen the commercial you mentioned.
