Hell, as we speak, this weekend I can assure anyone there will be one or two more murders by one of those "nice gangs." Those subhuman murderers never fail to disappoint

I used to live in a gang-infested neighborhood in Los Angeles. We moved.
Life is too short to spend it living amongst trash and filth who only seem to understand violence
-
I remember that trial. It made national news because it wasn't just a home invasion, but a triple-murder case. The details of that were gruesome.
-
I know. It's totally macabre. Still, I don't think that's the "record for mass murder attack" unless we're not taking into account bombs (OKC bombing and the bombing at Bath, Michigan) or the Branch Dividian compound mass murder (although it wasn't really just one person doing the killing).
-
In 2007, there were 32 killed in the Virginia Tech shooting - 20 more than this fool's "record." That's the U.S. record.

Come to SoCal and check out our beaches in Orange County. They're nothing like Hawaii, but they are the next best thing

His identity should have been sealed from the press since day one. The guy is already media famous beyond anything he could have hoped for as a member of the scientific community. I read that he ".. now holds the record for U.S. mass murder attack."
Weird. That's not the U.S. record at all. Far from it. How many did that army sergeant psychologist murder at his base? How many were murdered at Virginia Tech? How many were murdered in the Oklahoma federal building?
Of course, if this had been in Iraq or Afghanistan, and the murderer had been a "govt. contractor" for blackwater or halliburton murdering civilians over there, then this would be perfectly sane. Hell, ask yourselves, how many wrong convictions go to death row in the U.S.?

Replace your "energy" with "unicorns" and your science is looking somewhat mythical.
It's about beliefs and no one can change the fact that religious beliefs have been around far longer than scientific exploration.
That doesn't make any sense since energy exists. And from the early times of hunters and gatherers, those who experimented with fire, weapons, and wheels possessed scientific minds. Those events they could not explain, they attributed to some magical invisible being(s) in the sky to appease their simple, neanderthal minds. Of course, as the collective mind of man evolved, some of those events could be explained by scientific experiments.
I mean, if it were up to some high-fallutin' church, some'd still believe the earth was flat, burn women as witches, and use their holy book to rationalise enslaving others and forcing them to convert under threat of death. It really is just another tool to empower a few people and keep the rest stupid and obedient

I went to the premiere Catholic university in the country. It was fun! Some people almost could put together a logical argument for the existence of God. Almost.
There is nothing logical about believing in imaginary characters. Just replace "God" with "unicorns" and "leprechauns," and I'm sure they could also come up with "logical" arguments for their existence.
Show an instance where energy was created and destroyed. All the "logical arguments" couldn't put this evidence before us

I haven't used f***facebook since they deleted my account back in early 2006. I never bothered with "social networking" sites since then

One of the tenants got a notice of eviction today. This sweetens me coffee since I was the one who called the landlord about them smoking pot in their house

O gawd I just went a few pages back and there are THREE pictures of me in here that I have no recollection of posting. I thought you lot would have filled up this thread with your own mugs by now but nooooooooo us young'ns gots to do all the work!
I am much fatter now, so I'd rather keep those old pics around to remember how less fat I used to look.
However, I may post one more recent pic of me with my new, neon Strida bike... once I get the helmet in the mail

Edna we have what they call "monitors" on the buses...monitors don't drive, they ride along on the bus to make sure the kids don't cause any trouble...so much for that, huh?....I guess if I was in that situation, I'd make the bus driver stop...noway would I sit there and listen to these litte s***s harrass me.....
That's the thing: She was supposed to monitor these kids, but seemed to not be doing that job.

Kinda strange to think that So Cal is one of the coolest places in the country right now.
I live in a valley, so it's hot as hell over here

Cute

I like this little jab at this kid from the rebuttal:
Let’s look at other things you (or your parents) might pay for each month and compare...This type of entitlement attitude is kind of ironic coming from a kid who "interns" at a radio station. I wonder how long this douche could keep her lifestyle up once her parents [and the government] cut her off their teat.
In a time when there is high unemployment and a lack of jobs for able people, this isn't the kind of attitude that would help. I really, really hope this won't be a prevalent principle and value in the future, as this generation is doomed to mediocrity and a full-blown blase attitude towards an honest work/ethic and due compensation

Awersome, man

"I never owned any music to begin with" = "I steal music because I feel I am entitled to it"

The rebuttal to emily white:

I liked this bit:
Many in your generation are willing to pay a little extra to buy “fair trade†coffee that insures the workers that harvested the coffee were paid fairly. Many in your generation will pay a little more to buy clothing and shoes from manufacturers that certify they don’t use sweatshops. Many in your generation pressured Apple to examine working conditions at Foxconn in China. Your generation is largely responsible for the recent cultural changes that has given more equality to same sex couples. On nearly every count your generation is much more ethical and fair than my generation. Except for one thing. Artist rights. But, hey, I am willing to bet 100 albums of chud she has horrible taste in music and probably a lack a deep knowledge in the subject, as is the case with most freeloaders

I was gonna say something about the maturity level of people who watch "reality" shows and then it dawned on me that I watch cartoons most of the time

Don't knock D&B if you happen to work as a shift manager... and work up to store manager and then to regional/district manager. It's a bit stressful, but those dudes make bank and decent bonuses.
At any rate, good luck out there

Wow. I envy you guys (and gals), but in a way that inspires me to do better... as I couldn't do much worse than my crappy 2.6 GPA as an undergrad. Yeah, I crashed right through graduation
Great looking families. That's an achievement on a whole other/higher level.

Yeah, sad news all around. The rest of fleetwood mac behaved like a buncha douchebags when it came to the RRHoF.
When Fleetwood Mac was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, Welch was not included in the group.“It basically comes down to the fact that they don’t like me anymore,†he told The Plain Dealer of Cleveland at the time.
“I guess they can do what they want. I could understand it if I had been a sideman for a year.
But I was an integral part of that band ... I put more of myself into that band than anything else I’ve ever done.â€

Toaster oven? That's, like, too much cooking going on for me. It's too hard

Awersome! It's been almost 8 years for me as well - at the end of July
What grinds your gears then?

I would only refer to myself as an "atheist" to make things simple for simpleminded folk, although I don't believe in any notion of a creator, mystical beings, or God(s) that dispenses justice amongst men, so that does fit the definition of an "atheist." Still, I'd much rather refer to myself as an "animist"
