The Dead Heart - Midnight Oil
-
-
With You There To Help Me - Jethro Tull (1970) (One of my top five favourite Jethro Tull songs. And believe me, my top five is a VERY elite list).
EDIT: Oops, The White Stripes already have a #1. I'll think of another nom soon.
-
Rooster - Alice In Chains (1992)
I nominated these two songs in TT #63 way back in May 2007. They were #2 and #3 with 47 and 46 points respectively. Let's see which one wins this time.

Oh, sorry, he is Zak Starkey. I missed your previous post.
-
He looks quite a lot like his dad now. If I posted a recent picture of him you would probably get it...
... but I won't do that just yet.
-
Not Brian Jones's son, but another famous musician's son.
-
Who are these two guys? (Okay, I know the one on the left is very easy)
-
But it's winter.
-
Mike Skinner, a.k.a. The Streets?
(I've never understood why a solo artist would use a name that sounds like a band name)
-
You've got to stop nominating songs you don't like. I just don't see the point.

I tend to think that most of the amazing coincidences I have seen listed on websites are exaggerated, or perhaps even complete lies. The less amazing ones are usually true, but not that much of a coincidence if you think about them hard enough.
"The only true coincidence would be if there were no coincidences".

2. Cult of Personality - Living Colour (1988)
3. Beat It - Michael Jackson (1982)
4. Bow River - Cold Chisel (1982) (I accept that this has no chance of making the top ten. )
5. With or Without You - U2 (1987)
6. Back in Black - AC/DC (1980)
7. Master of Puppets - Metallica (1986)
8. Don't Dream It's Over - Crowded House (1986)
9. Texas Flood - Stevie Ray Vaughan (1983)
10. Where Is My Mind? - Pixies (1988)
Some people actually found this harder than the '70s? But how? The '80s sucked!
-
Knights Of Cydonia - Muse (2006) (why does Muse's offical channel upload their videos in ultra-low quality? )
-
I don't like one of the guys on the list, but otherwise it's excellent, so I won't complain.
-
That's a tough one - I definitely don't recognise him.
More clues please.

You make a list of 50 of your favourites, and we all vote on a top ten from your 50. Send a PT to Farin and Levis with your 50 songs if you want to participate.

Heaven Must Be There - Eurogliders
'80s Perth band.
-
There is no economy and God is in recession.
-
Correct!

"The Rain Song" - Led Zeppelin
I haven't listened to this song in way too long.
Yes, I know, I just copied Tim's post from a few days ago. But it's true for me too.
The Songfactor's Choice Top Ten #176
in The Songfactor's Choice Top 10
Posted
1. Epitaph - King Crimson (1969) (It was extremely difficult for me to choose between my number 1 and 2. In the end I decided to compare the woodwind instruments used in the songs - flute versus oboe. Oboe won).
1.00000000001. With You There To Help Me - Jethro Tull (1970)
3. Coffee And TV - Blur (1999)
4. Steppin' Out - Joe Jackson (1982)
5. Walking on the Moon - The Police (1979)
6. Thickfreakness - The Black Keys (2003)
7. Shimmer - Fuel (1998)
8. Tuesday Afternoon - The Moody Blues (1967)
9. Nothing That I Didn't Know - Procol Harum (1970)
10. Here Comes Your Man - Pixies (1989)
This has been one of those unusual occasions where limiting our choice for nominations has increased the quality of songs nominated. In my opinion, anyway.
