  1. Here's one I finished today, finally. Started it a while ago.

    "It's Not Me"

When you?re around I never seem

    To act quite like myself

I look around, I feel so lost

    I need a little help

I close my eyes, and tell myself

That the demons all are dead

I keep searching for an answer

To the questions in my head

And sometimes the truth can hurt

    And I can?t figure out

Why you?ve tried so hard to screw things up

And keep my mind in doubt

    [Chorus]

    Save me from myself

    And what I have become

    I no longer wish

To think of the things I have done

    Erase the pain and anguish

    Living in my past

Remove my tears and all my hate

From these things that should never last

How did you get inside my head

And rearrange who I really am

You?ve tried so hard to kill me

    Without ever raising a hand

You keep me in a state

    Of pain and regret

    You always remind me

Of the things that I have said

You always know, how to steal my soul

And bring me to my knees

I scream out loud when my mind is gone

Oh please dear God oh please

    [Chorus]

Keep me away, from this life

Or just take me from this Earth

The voice inside keeps telling me

That it?s all just gonna hurt

All your lies and all your troubles

    Keep coming on to me

Just let me go from your life

    Just let me be free

But when I see you I just can?t help

    Running toward my fears

You pull me in and keep on saying

The words that I don?t want to hear

    [Chorus] x 2

When I look in the mirror, what do I see

    ? It?s not me

  2. I thought it was one of the greatest half time shows I've ever seen. Paul McCartney did great and the added theatrics during "Live and Let Die" was wonderful. But the best was when the entire stadium sang "Hey Jude" when Paul got off the piano and away from the microphone.

  3. Okay I got it to work, but I made it a two step process. First I had to change the "URL to your avatar" which changed the avatar but set it to the size of the previous avatar. Then I had to do an upload of the same avatar from my PC in order to adjust the size to what it's supposed to be.

  4. I would say Bob Dylan... I have seen tons of best ofs of all kinds... The release of the Beatles song has always been more under control... McCartney is richer than Dylan!! (that means he is wiser...)

I think Dylan has more "Greatest Hits" albums, but The Beatles are featured on way more compilation albums than Dylan. Same with The Who, they have a bunch of "Greatest Hits" and are featured on a bunch of compilation albums.

  5. The worst part is when they stick a couple unreleased songs on a "Best Of" compilation which almost forces you to purchase it if you ever want to hear these songs. Bastards...! I'm wondering who has the most "Greatest Hits" compilations. I would have to guess either Bob Dylan or The Beatles.

  6. My friend and I were having a discussion the other day and he said that when a band releases a best of, they are basically over. at first i disagreed with him, but when i thought about it a bit more, i found there was a bit of truth in there. what do you think?

sorry if this has been discussed before

Sometimes "Best Of" is the only way to bring all the really good songs onto one album when the original albums are now out of print or just hard to find. It's also a good way to introduce a good older band to the new generation of listeners. It's also cheaper than trying to hunt down 6 albums and buy them all even though sometimes they only contain a couple songs on each that are good but didn't make it on the "Best Of" album. But I don't think it spells the end for everyone.

  7. Ahh yes. You remember Chaquita?

We were hitting it off famously until the accident.

When I disrobed I left my peel on the floor and she slipped and broke her hip. She was never the same after that. Then finally she just split. Geez, all I could say was "thanks a bunch".

So yes, we have no bananazzzzzz.

That was the cheesiest use of banana metaphors I've ever heard.

  8. A long long time ago

I can still remember how that music, used to make me smile

And I knew if I had my chance

Then I could make those people dance

And maybe they'd be happy, for a while

    But February made me shiver

    With every paper I delivered

    Bad news on the doorstep

I couldn't take, one more step

    I can't remember if I cried

When I read about his widowed bride

    Something touched me deep inside...

    The day...

    The music...

    Died...

    There's my 2 cents.

  9. i dont think it sounds 80s, according to my boyfriend who is an electronica fan, they have copied more recent people, for example Aphex twin.

can we change the title to this thread?

You don't like the title? I'll make a better one... ::
