A Propos CCR.

When I first heard "Down on The Corner", I when he sang "People come from all around to watch the magic boy" I understood "to watch the magic ho"

But to my defence I have to say, that i knew immediatly, that this must have been wrong...

Some buddies of mine tell the story of a local band who had a fan requesting them to play "Slow Motion Walter". It took a while to figure out she wanted to hear "Smoke On The Water". The band thought it was so funny they changed the band name to Slow Motion Walter.

I always thought the line "Eminence front, its a put on"

sounded like "Eminence front, it's a pudding." I imagine that is not the message Pete Townshend wished to convey...

I always thought it said "Livin' in the butt" when I was little.

Of course, I also thought that Whitesnake sang, "Like a Twizler I was born to walk alone."

Poor Twizler :(

We were at Old Navy last week and waiting for my wife to finish doing whatever she was doing. We were sitting on the windowledge inside the store near the checkout, when my son, ipod firmly in place, squinched up his eyes >< and sang (earnestly) "Aunt Jemimah was a bullfrog!"..... Me and the checkout lady were laughing hysterically......

UB40's version of Elvis' "Can't Help Falling In Love" from the 'Sliver' soundtrack.

It sounds like he's Russian, trying to plagerize his own sympathies towards a young female that he's involved with / interested in seeing.

"Wise men say - Only fools rush in,"

sounds like he's trying to say "Wednesday, only loser's she"

"But I can't help falling in love with you)"

Kansas "Carry on My Wayward Son"

I always misintrepreted the lyrics as describing "Icarus" [Greek Mythology Fame] and referring to his flight too close to heaven, & the Sun melting the wax off his back, that sent his feathered wings into a plummit from his foolish ways. Aesop Fable's Tales rocked! but not quite like Fraggle Rock

In the Beatles' Paperback Writer there's the line "It's the dirty story of a dirty man

And his clinging wife doesn't understand", and for years I thought it was "and his cleaning wife doesn't understand."

Really? :) I always thought it was "cleaning" too...

I heard "Strawberry Fields" for the first time when I was 11. I didn´t speak nor understand English that well by then so I understood that "living is easy with eyes closed" was "living is easy without clothes"... which seemed very logic to me, and it still does...

Pink Floyd-Another brick in the wall.

We don't need no education,

We don't need no thought control,

No dark sacrasm in the classroom,

Teacher leave them kids alone,

HEY TEACHER! Leave them kids alone!

misheard as:

We don't need no education,

We don't need no f***ing clothes,

No dorks are spazzing in the classroom,

Margret Thatcher leave them kids alone,

HEY THATCHER! Leave them kids alone!
