MuzikTyme
'Twill be even better, Laurie, once I get this new-fangled computer and service provider to enable me with the features that this and other sites allow...like, (giggles) smileys. Encouraging, though, is the chaos which ensues every time I read these here forums, comforting, nevertheless. Tomorrow's dream is just reality to me and, hopefully, to everyone here. Much catching up to do . . .
Lucky
Janey, for Sammy has named the best of the best... but for original Stones blues, you gotta go with Midnight Rambler! Anything off the cd's the London years is blues, BUT, they are all covers. Jagger does a great King Bee, and Little Red Rooster, but again...covers. edna, Sammy and I are the true Stones lovers here....we say Midnight Rambler!! Lucky
edna I don't find Wild Horses to be so bluesy... more rock. But hey, you know me, If'n you think Wild Horses, I'll go with it. It is one of my favorite songs!
The Seeker
That's what I thought too... I;d never have called Wild Horses blues. Not sure what exactly, but not blues... same goes for lots of other songs mentioned in this thread though.
edna
On a second though, "Love in Vain" would be the bluesy Stones song...

miamisammy29
And if you're gonna play "Midnight Rambler", be sure to play the live version off "Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out". It just may be the greatest live song ever performed! That is all.
bluesboy
I agree, the Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out version is dynamite. Midnight Rambler from the Brussels '73 show ranks right up there, but of course only found on bootlegs.
