Favorite bluesy Rolling Stones Tune?

Well, technically, all the Stones songs are based on some form of the blues, but I'm assuming you mean the flat-out, old school, bad to the bone, down and dirty type of blues like the old blues masters from the 30's and 40's...

In that case, I'd recommend these...

"Ventilator Blues"

"Down In The Hole"

"I Got The Blues"

"Prodigal Son"

"Black Limousine"

"Back Of My Hand"

"Midnight Rambler"

"You Got The Silver"

"Spider And The Fly"

"Love In Vain"

"Stray Cat Blues" (live off "Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out")

And if you want a little funkier blues....

"Hey Negrita" (you play this one on the radio, and Stonesheads the world over will absolutely worship you!)

There are many more, but you've got a good hour there. Rock on, Janie!

You Gotta Move

You gotta move

You gotta move

You gotta move, child

You gotta move

Oh, when the Lord gets ready

You gotta move

You may be high

You may be low

You may be rich, child

You may be poor

But when the Lord gets ready

You gotta move

You see that woman, who walks the street

You see that police, upon his beat

But then the Lord gets ready

You gotta move

You gotta move

Well the show is about rockin' blues and you will hear The Stones, Clapton, BB King, The Black Crowes, Gary Moore, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Hendrix and such...

My vote for a Clapton song is his rendition of Eddie Boyd's Five Long Years off the From the Cradle cd (1994).

Here's a 7 day temporary audio file.

I agree Midnight Rambler is an excellent choice !

Here's my vote for a Stevie Ray Vaughan song. It's a song very few people have heard and that's what makes it unique. It's an outtake from the Soul to Soul sessions that never made it onto the LP, but it's a worthy recommendation. It's called Boilermaker.
