edna
My dad went to Buenos Aires for his 50th High School reunion... that was 10 years ago, he had an amazing time, he spent a great evening with his very old friends and the pictures I saw showed a man laughing so happy... the morning after he had a stroke, went into a coma and died a few weeks later. He never came back to his home in Madrid but at least he was a happy man.
MarcM
That must have been some reunion, Edna! Sounds like he went out having had a good time. We should all be so lucky.
edna
Sure, Marc That's why somehow we celebrated his happy life -even though he was 75 and could have lived longer, being so healthy and active- rather than his loss. Yes, it was very sad... but with a taste of success and love.
Lucky
Yes, my dad was very happy to have gone to his reunion. He said that those people that he knew in his youth were the people he'd known the best, and loved the most his entire life. Great isn't it? I think your dad was very lucky, and I have a feeling he went to that reunion for a very good reason.

Laurie, I had breakfast on the table when I got up today... usually it´s me who makes breakfast for Spanish hubby every morning... or should I say dawn? Night, maybe?... cause we get up at 4.45am. Then when he leaves for work I go back to bed for... 30 minutes and then up again...

Viaene
you've got a Pirate Party? sounds like you don't wanne mess with those
Farin
the name is a bit unfortunate... such a party was first founded in Sweden, and their goals are internet privacy, data protection, freedom of information... stuff like that and now a very controversial law was passed last week that could very well open the gates for internet censorship, and because his party voted in favour of it, he decided to leave them... Farin
It's a bit complicated, I don't know if I should go into too much details here. For now this law is a well-meant one that blocks websites with child pornography, the problem is, that now the mechanisms were built to block any kind of unwanted material on the internet without too much independent controlling.
