RonJonSurfer
I never realized anyone had to explain sarcasm when initiating it. Is there such a term as "ironic sarcasm?" Very astute observation.....now that's sarcasm!

Red Fish
sarcasm needs to be thinly veiled to be of any merit
Kevin
Degrees of sarcasm : A person lived through : 1945 - 70 : A Korean war , economic boom ,Vietnam , assassinations of good people, and Nixon etc. made one doubt the honesty of the 'powers that be ' . Degree 5/10 1966- 1983 : One became convinced that nuclear war was not only inevitable , but a nightmare to think about daily- and built upon the past . 12/10 1983-1989 : Whew ! We made it- perhaps...! Things seem better ... 7/10 1985-present : I don 't have as many material goods/ experiences as my peers and I hate my 'hippie- sh*t ' (?! ) parents telling me to chill out and work for it - I want it now !... based on pure egotism 15/10 1990 - present : Sorry , but there is no hope for you here my child . However , but your/ our future lies in Asia/ Europe . Go there my son/daughter and remember to send money home when you can , and try to email us once in awhile ... 20/10 Edited August 13, 2008 by Guest
