Does anyone have any information to suggest that the song written by Neil Peart for RUSH and released on Farewell to kings in 1977 Cinderella man is in anyway connected to James J Braddock Cinderella man the famed boxer of the 1930's that Ron Howard and Russell Crowe are currently making into a movie due to release in a year from now? Catherine Posted December 21, 2003 Report Share Posted December 21, 2003 The song "Cinderella Man" by Neil Peart is loosely based on a movie called "Mr. Deeds Goes to Town", starring Gary Cooper as a man from a small town who inherits lots of money and moves to the big city.
