Anti-Surfing Movies

I was flipping through cable channels the other night and stopped on a movie I just never seem to see enough times. Oh sure, as I was surfing the channels I saw lots of movies I had seen before, but my wife came in the room and laughed, "You ALWAYS watch this movie!" That got me thinking. There ARE movies I never pass by when airing on cable, because I always see something there I hadn't seen before. Here are a few that come immediately to mind. How about you? Are there certain cable-bound movies you MUST stay with on the TV, when you run across them, no matter how often they air?

Fargo - so many characters of interest

Kalifornia - Pitt perfect as creep and equally strong supporting efforts

Groundhog Day - no matter how many times I see it, I always see something new

Thelma and Louise - perfect ensemble cast

Godfather I - so well made ... every moment

Get Shorty - my poor wife doesn't get the attraction here

Payback - tune in for the plot twisting, stay for the toe smashing

LA Confidential - another great ensemble cast, eh Edmund?

Yeah, most people (teachers especially)are so focused on the fact that teenage boys are reckless hormone-heads that they don't notice that girls have the potential to be even worse.

We will never know the truth, men. The girls have that perfect PMS alibi going for them. It's the impenetrable God-given defense for anything they do or don't do.
