How Can You Mend A Broken Heart - Al Green --> listen here

I'm a fan of soul acts covering pop songs and Al did a great job. Nice.

Which reminded me, although I wouldn't say Billy Paul's version of Paul McCartney's "Let 'em In" is any better but I do like to hear a different take once in a while.

Someone's knockin' on the door, somebody's ringin' the bell.......

Of course it's always been myth/rumor/fact (who knows), that the song was either completely written by, or a collaboration between Gram and Keith, so it just could be this was the way it was meant to sound, or the way it sounded originally.

All I know is it's good.

Baby, I Love Your Way - Big Mountain [originally performed by Peter Frampton]

Grooveshark audio & YouTube video

Much better in my opinion, than the Will To Power cover from 1988. You can click on the band's name to go to the YouTube video of their version, if you're interested in hearing it. Big Mountain's version is reggae-inspired, which while I'm not a fan of the genre, actually sounds good here. I actually like it better than Frampton's version.
