Carl
Posted in the archives, this one is a good read: http://www.songfacts.com/int/2007/07/alex-call-867-5309.html Alex is a very talented singer/songwriter/guitarist who could have easily gotten his big break as a recording artist - he was in a band called Clover with Huey Lewis that was produced by Mutt Lange before everything he touched turned to gold. Instead, his break came as a songwriter with the unlikely hit Jenny (867-5309). If you have an interest in the recording process, you'll want to read what he has to say about Mutt Lange, Nick Lowe and the use of "Drum Drops." phil
Very interesting interview. There are so many stories like these in Rock N Roll. We just think of Tommy Tutone as a one-hit wonder, but there is so much more information we don't know. Good job.
