But, a more serious example: Something - The Beatles The Rain Song - Led Zeppelin The intro chord progression in these two songs is the same, which is somewhat unsurprising since Jimmy Page wrote The Rain Song as a response to George Harrison's comment that Led Zeppelin did not record enough ballads. DASJETS Posted October 31, 2007 Report Share Posted October 31, 2007 (edited) There are 2 songs that begin with the lyrics, "If the sun refused to shine". 1) Led Zeppelin, "Thank You" - "If the sun refused to shine, I would still be loving you." 2) Jimi Hendrix, "If 6 was 9" - "If the sun refused to shine, I don't mind."
