Uncle Joe
1-Miracles - Jefferson Starship (1975) 2-These Arms of Mine - Otis Redding (1962) 3-Our House - Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (1970) 4-Domino - Van Morrison (1970) 5-Ain't That Peculiar - Marvin Gaye (1965) 6-Come And Get It - Badfinger (1970) 7-Fame - David Bowie (1975) 8-I'll Stand By You - The Pretenders (1994) 9-Sweetest Taboo - Sade (1986) 10-Living In The USA - Steve Miller Band (1968) Phil..I absolutely love your nomination of Otis's, These Arms Of Mine but Freddy Jackson's, You Are My Lady is one of my least favorite songs ever. How did you do that? (Lady: pronounced Lay-Day). I get shivers. I almost voted for More Than Words because I was thinking of Roxy Music's, More Than This. More Than Words is a fine song but it's no More Than This. Edited July 5, 2007 by Guest
OLD 55
Well, my songs haven't performed anywhere near as well as I'd hoped, but that's the way it goes. In fact I concede the "90s v 60s" to Martin's Nomination of 'Scarborough Fair/Canticle', which looks like placing highly in the Ten. In fact, 'No Milk Today' will probably make it too ! Might get the Double. CONGRATULATIONS MARTIN .................................................. Joe, I do agree that 'More Than This' is a better song than 'More Than Words'. I backed that up in Top Ten #55 by placing it 2nd on my list (higher than anybody else) when CanAm nominated it. Only 6 of us voted for it. Bryan Ferry/Roxy Music just don't have much of a following amongst our voters, unfortunately.

I wanted it to do much better. You may concede the bet to Martin, 'Ol Fif, but I concede that you can pick some pretty darn good 90's songs! I liked them both.
