c_s_1987
I don't know whether we have done this topic before or not... Anyway, I was just thinking about how great bands could be created by taking the most talented soloists or members from different bands and forming a supergroup with them. So, this thread is for people who want to make their own supergroups. I'm sure some people believe certain bands couldn't possibly be improved upon. If you believe this, feel free to say so here. Here's my first supergroup, which is a rock band consisting entirely of deceased artists (I never said the members had to be alive ): Jim Morrison - Lead Vocals Jimi Hendrix - Lead Guitar, Backing Vocals John Lennon - Rhythm Guitar, Backing Vocals John Entwistle - Bass Guitar John Bonham - Drums Hey, all their names start with J. That wasn't intentional.

Foolonthehill
Drums- Neil Peart Keyboards- Keith Emerson Bass- John Entwistle Sax- John Coltrane Vocals/Songwriting- John Lennon (as well as rhythm guitar sometimes) and Paul McCartney I really can't decide on a lead guitarist. Maybe it's better with Emerson playing the lead part.
johnnyguitar
Jim Morrison - Lead Vocals Jimi Hendrix - Lead Guitar, Backing Vocals John Lennon - Rhythm Guitar, Backing Vocals John Entwistle - Bass Guitar John Bonham - Drums Hmmm, speaking as a 'John' myself, I can't quite see how you could ruin that line-up by including 'Jims'...especially Morrison, pompous bellower that he was. I'd ditch the Jims and add John Coltrane and...err Johnny B Goode (he could play that guitar like a ringing a bell, after all) If you were a Jim, I'd ditch the John's and Add Jim Keltner on drums and sneak in one Mr.Page on bass and rhthym guitar...he could probably keep up! Floydaholic
Yeah it really would. Freddie Mercury isn't compatible with David Gilmour and Jimmy Page. I think he would be. But then again, the point of this thread is illogical, so why can't I make an illogical choice??.
