blind-fitter
Another recent ditty I wrote in a quick-stick. It's already recorded in primitive form: will probably feature on "the album". Shipmanesque The name-plate on the door The hand-shake, reassuringly warm As befits a public figure With a pool of goodwill considerably bigger Than God's heaven Were you there when the doctor broke the news? The detail is vague, the mind confused His nipples were erect, I noticed, Through his Vyella shirt protruding Otherwise...nothing Where once he sat on our settee Comforting the family, Now facing us across the desk, Benignly blinking behind bi-focals, caressing his beard, Looking positively Shipmanesque
