Floydaholic Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 (edited) I hope that this is in the right place. Well, how this works is, I'm gonna post a random song, and then the next poster is gonna go look for that song somewhere, and find it and listen to it. Youtube would be a good place to search. And then that poster will rate the song out of 10 and say why. And then they post a random song, and it will go on like this. Have fun!!. Tonight, Tonight - Smashing Pumpkins Edited August 26, 2008 by Guest title
Farin Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 (listened to it from my personal collection ) easily my favourite SP song, I like the strings and Corgan's "toniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight" 9/10 next one: Salvation ~ The Cranberries
TheLizard Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 I like this idea! The Cranberries are from Limerick, which is cool in itself. The song was fairly good, the video freaked me out (Evil Pinhead Clown! Ah!). I'll give it a 7/10 Next up: "Avantcore"- Busdriver
Jenny Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 It's hard to understand what he says, since his delivery is so fast, but the sound of the song and the look of the video seem upbeat and it's a nice departure from Gangsta Rap! 7/10 Promises - Basia
Foolonthehill Posted June 9, 2007 Report Posted June 9, 2007 Pretty good, though not the type of music I generally listen to. The singer has an amazing voice. 8/10 Karn Evil 9- Emerson, Lake and Palmer hehehehehe
rockstar-101 Posted June 9, 2007 Report Posted June 9, 2007 hmm...not sure which version you wanted us to listen to but I didn't spend a half hour listening to this song and I know why there are two version to this song cuz the beginning of the complete version is really weird. But a great song that I love to sing along to whenever I hear it but I do love harder rock songs then this: 8/10 Sympathy for the Devil: The Rolling Stones
edna Posted June 9, 2007 Report Posted June 9, 2007 10/109. One of the great classics of rock history. What can I say about that song? I was12 or so when it was released and it changed my life. I´ve seen that movie too - Elton John

I meant the REAL version...too bad you don't like it. Remember, weird is NOT necessarily bad. Edited June 10, 2007 by Guest
Farin Posted June 10, 2007 Report Posted June 10, 2007 I´ve seen that movie too - Elton John I'm not really an Elton John fan, but this song isn't too bad... 7/10 Ring, Ring, Ring ~ De La Soul
Floydaholic Posted June 10, 2007 Author Report Posted June 10, 2007 Sorry, but rap isn't really my thing. It bores me. I'd give this 2/10. At least it isn't vulgar like some other rap I have heard, but I don't consider rap to be proper music. Clive Barnes - Other Voices
Skuff Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 However amazing that guy is on guitar, it's not my style of music. 7/10 Paul McCartney & Wings- Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five (It's about 5 1/2 Mins. long.)
Farin Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 not bad actually... I don't know many Wings songs, but this song could be one of the better ones 8,5/10 '74-'75 ~ The Connells
Levis Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 oooh 10/10! I like it very much '74-'75 - The Connells
Farin Posted June 15, 2007 Report Posted June 15, 2007 wow, does that mean the thread barely survived a week?
Floydaholic Posted June 15, 2007 Author Report Posted June 15, 2007 '74-'75 - The Connells. This song has some very nice guitar work. The musical quality is high IMO, the singing and lyrics are good too. "I'd give this city, 8 out of 10". I'll definately be checking up on more of this bands music!!. Thanks to whoever posted this song up in the first place, I'm glad that I listened to it. Next song: Muse - Knights Of Cydonia
Alexia48146 Posted June 16, 2007 Report Posted June 16, 2007 I'm not a great fan of Muse but I did find this song one their best. I like his voice better in other songs of theirs. Memory Lane-Elliott Smith
phil Posted June 16, 2007 Report Posted June 16, 2007 I liked the guitar work in this song. Elliot is a little too despondent for my tastes, though. Beautiful World - Coldplay
rockstar-101 Posted June 16, 2007 Report Posted June 16, 2007 I'm not a big fan of Coldplay but I enjoyed this song; I thought it was really beautiful: 8/10 Overrated: Thriving Ivory
Farin Posted July 18, 2007 Report Posted July 18, 2007 ^^^ I just noticed that the Coldplay song is, of course, called "Don't Panic", not Beautiful World ^^ never heard of them before, maybe they're really good Live, but I couldn't tell for the quality of the youtube clip 6/10 next one: Playground Love ~ Air
phil Posted July 20, 2007 Report Posted July 20, 2007 Good song. Nice jazzy nightime song. 7/10 School - Supertramp
Rayzor Posted July 20, 2007 Report Posted July 20, 2007 Love that tune Phil!!! 9/10 One of Supertramp's best! Lunatic Fringe - Red Rider
phil Posted July 20, 2007 Report Posted July 20, 2007 Classic 80's anthem. 10/10 Sweet Pea - Tommy Roe
Farin Posted July 20, 2007 Report Posted July 20, 2007 mmm, a bit too sweet for my taste, but I liked the organ parts 6/10 Fit but you know it ~ The Streets (you can be honest )
phil Posted July 21, 2007 Report Posted July 21, 2007 Clever, but the music is monotonous. 5/10 Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead - The Fifth Estate
