Sweet Jane 61
I was asked if I had any poems that had forgivness in the theme, this is one that I feel does, or at least the beginning of forgiveness. Letting Go The night around me is still... only memories do I hear, they flood over me like a tidal wave... making my emotions unclear. My love for you I tucked away... believing that you were gone, my heart trying to heal from emptiness... beginning to let us go; moving on. Night brought you back; to my wonderment... still loving me you say, my breath taken away at your presence... knowing you should not stay. Tears falling like rain with your embrace... my heart pounding loud and strong, words I search for but can not find... apart we have been for too long. Fearful of letting you go... I let my heart bleed out the pain, my need for you still alive in me... my soul wondering if it will be the same. Silence of night whisking away doubts... finding strength to believe in you, realizing we have to start afresh... letting go of the past; both yearning to do. Rayzor
Great job! I see the person ready to forgive and try to start over. Even though they're not sure if it can be done, it's still worth a shot. But that's just what I see...
Floydaholic
Thanks for putting this up. Well done, I think this is a really good poem. I can definately relate to it. It's so hard to let go of things when you don't realise that you can, isn't it??.
Sweet Jane 61
Thanks Ray and floyd. I don't have anymore along those lines, I find it easier to write through pain. Or about love for another person whether it be a lover, friend, or family.
Floydaholic
I wish that I could write poetry that I liked. Poems that I have written, I have grown to dislike them for some reason.
