Blue Fish
There's a whisper in the trees A gentle touch in the rain By the glassy lake on my knees A pray father for no more pain The love you give has such power It came at a high price, you Given to the humble bower You did what you had to do Sent your only son to die He was beaten, tortured, killed For us, lowly wretched sinners, why? The one reason, “My love willed†Boundless awesome Loving God The slaughtered Lamb, now has risen You hold the crown and golden rod Free to all who know and listen Your gentle gaze and roaring voice Against you who could stand? Yet you give to all the choice Refuse me and die or hold my hand As strong as the mountain tall As gentle as a new born pup You love us, big or small, one and all All are offered a drink from your cup A crown of thorns upon your head The scars of love upon your hands The river of love flowing red Freeing all the shackled lands The crown of glory is yours! Forever, Halleluiah The royal robes cover the sores We come to you, it’s not that far If we search our hearts desire And cry out “Lord, save me!†You’ll lift us up higher and higher Until at last we finally see. Floydaholic
Nice work there, obviously about Jesus. But what do you mean in Stanza 5, when you say "Refuse me and die or hold my hand"??.
Blue Fish
If you refuse Jesus's hand, that is if you refuse to walk with him you die. If you walk with Jesus you can never die. You have the crown of Eternal life and are written into the book of life.
