The Songfactors' Choice Top Ten #61

Recommended Posts

I don't believe we've ever had so many nominations by a single artist in the same Ten. I'm interested to see just which of the songs the SF's may vote into the Ten, if any. I'd like to see which song(s) we agree the most about.

May the best song win..

Too many ! That's why I replaced 'Help' with 'I Walk The Line, which I had intended to use in next week's "NO #1s". I have plenty more to choose from though.

I'm not criticizing my friends who nominated them. I'd hate them to leave the Top Ten because of something I said. I'll only be here for another four Tens (at most), anyway, before my Wife and I leave for a bit of a holiday up North in early June.

I had a really hard time coming up with two nominations this time, especially considering that they should at least have a fighting chance against the others... I'm not sure yet if I was succesful...

Also I would to apologise that I don't nominate ANY 90s songs this time, no I haven't forgotten, or given up on my quest to get another 90s song on #1 (it's been almost 50 Top Tens you know? :P )

Road to Nowhere ~ Talking Heads (1985) Video

They can tell you what to do

But they'll make a fool of you

And it's all right, baby, it's all right...

Jammin' ~ Bob Marley & The Wailers (1977) Audio

and I hope you like Jammin' too... ;)

Sorry I'm late with my nominations, everybody. I've been ill, but I'm feeling MUCH better now.

A lot of great tunes this week. I can tell this is going to be the hardest Top 10 yet.

My nominations this week are dedicated to the great Jack Kerouac.

"On The Road Again" - Willie Nelson

"Back On The Road Again" - REO Speedwagon

My second nomination was GOING TO BE "Life On The Road" by the Kinks, but UNBELIEVABLY, Dappled already nominated it. It will definitely make my Top 10. I threw in the Willie Nelson tune instead....a great song, yes, but not as great as the Kinks.
