Farin
the best band in the world this is their 11th (or 12th?) studio album - 24 in total but because they only sing in German they're not very known outside of the german language countries Edited November 2, 2007 by Guest added link
Rayzor
Die Arzte is a cool band... Martin had me listening to some of their stuff a while back. Fun stuff, even when you don't understand a word!
Super Ry 71
The Doctors, eh? That's a nice name.
Farin
The band chose the name "Die Ärzte" because, to their knowledge, no other band in Germany or anywhere used the letter Ä, and when they went into a (record) store they missed this letter. They did not seek any affiliation with medical issues whatsoever - a fact that was all too often forgotten by journalists and bootleg manufacturers, who included wordplays and allusions to hospitals, medicine, surgery etc. in article headers and record titles. rockstar-101
So I didn't want to start a new thread for this (cause it's not that special) and this seems like a good place for it. Super hard rock quiz by rolling stone magazine...I know most of y'all on here are music geniuses I figure this might give you some sort of challenge. miamisammy29
Saturday Night Fever soundtrack hit stores on this day back in 1977....come on admitt it you have a copy somewhere at home! I have it on vinyl, eight-track, and cassette. I love that album. I haven't listened to it about 20 years, but I still love it. Tavares rocks!! If you think about it, though, the movie itself was kind of goofy....except for the part where they started barking like dogs at the White Castle. We did something similar at a Burger King once. Sweet Jane 61
I just listened to Helplessly Hoping by CSN in my headphones and man awesome...the harmonies. skybluesky
Today in a bookstore I looked at a book entitled Great Family Singalong Songs {or something like that}. Along with the lyrics for House of the Rising Sun was included the theory that the song was about a women's prison featuring suns as wall decoration. My questions are~ 1-Has anyone else heard the women's prison theory? 2-How doesHouse of the Rising Sun qualify as a family singalong song?

skybluesky
Yeah, I was a little put off by the thought of some family singing "it's been the ruin of many a poor boy and god, I know I'm one" on some happy car trip. I'll have to see what other songs were included in the book.
