I'm ready for the songs now :P

Love Is The Drug ~ Roxy Music

T´ain´t no big thing

To wait for the bell to ring

T´ain´t no big thing

The toll of the bell

Aggravated - spare for days

I troll downtown the red light place

Jump up bubble up - what´s in store

Love is the drug and I need to score

Showing out, showing out, hit and run

Boy meets girl where beat goes on

Stitched up tight, can´t shake free

Love is the drug, got a hook on me

Oh oh catch that buzz

Love is the drug i´m thinking of

Oh oh can´t you see

Love is the drug for me

Late that night I park my car

Stake my place in the singles bar

Face to face, toe to toe

Heart to heart as we hit the floor

Lumber up, limbo down

The locked embrace, the stumble round

I say go, she say yes

Dim the lights, you can guess the rest

Oh oh catch that buzz

Love is the drug i´m thinking of

Oh oh can´t you see

Love is the drug, got a hook in me

Oh oh catch that buzz

Love is the drug i´m thinking of

Oh oh can´t you see

Love is the drug for me

"I believe the children are our are future

Teach them well and let them lead the way

Show them all the beauty they possess inside

Give them a sense of pride to make it easier

Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be

Everybody searching for a hero

People need someone to look up to

I never found anyone to fulfill my needs

A lonely place to be

So I learned to depend on me

I decided long ago, never to walk in anyone's shadows

If I fail, if I succeed

At least I live as I believe

No matter what they take from me

They can't take away my dignity

Because the greatest love of all

Is happening to me

I found the greatest love of all

Inside of me

The greatest love of all

Is easy to achieve

Learning to love yourself

It is the greatest love of all

I believe the children are our future

Teach them well and let them lead the way

Show them all the beauty they possess inside

Give them a sense of pride to make it easier

Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be

I decided long ago, never to walk in anyone's shadows

If I fail, if I succeed

At least I live as I believe

No matter what they take from me

They can't take away my dignity

Because the greatest love of all

Is happening to me

I found the greatest love of all

Inside of me

The greatest love of all

Is easy to achieve

Learning to love yourself

It is the greatest love of all

And if by chance, that special place

That you've been dreaming of

Leads you to a lonely place

Find your strength in love"

Hi all.

I've been in The Philippines for a couple of weeks and this is my first night of real solid Internet. When I arrived in Manila, I didn't have access to hot water or soap, so smelly Carl quickly learned that Wi-Fi probably wouldn't happen for a while. Conditions improved dramatically in my travels, and I am now in an upscale place in Makati, which is kind of swanky and strangely American.

Anyway, if anyone wants to see them I'll post pictures of me climbing a coconut tree when I get back next week, but I've had spotty access to the boards.

In working offline for the last 10 days, it is very clear how valuable the members of this forum are not just to the boards, but to the main site, which does a wonderful job serving its purpose:

To help you better understand and enjoy the songs you listen to.

We've built an incredible community and knowledge base that has really made things happen. Songwriters respect us and are happy to speak with us about their songs; teachers are using the site to help with their lessons; DJs, reporters and anyone with a keen curiosity has come to rely on the site for song information. I sincerely believe that Songfacts would not have reached this level without your help.

I understand how frustrating it can be when stuff goes on and no information is given, and I'll work with the mods to try and disseminate a little better. Please consider that the moderators have the best interests of these boards in mind, and do an amazing job keeping things running smoothly. A look around the web will show you how hard it is to maintain an intelligent, respectful community, and those with the M do just that.

Thanks for your understanding.

Carl

I have nothing to say about the songfacts moderators. I mean, it's not as if they have a lot of authority over me. The worst they can do is make me stop coming to this site. And they seem cool anyways. But I think the reason people distrust authority in general is because when a person is in power it's much easier to make a mistake, and the mistakes are more costly. So it's not that everyone hates authority, it's that we have to keep the ones in authority on their toes.

Don't pull a Keith Richards.

Yes, be careful... we want you around, you know? and we do want to see these pictures of you climbing a coconut... are you dressed in typical clothes? :shades: That would be funny...

Oh, and thanks for the nice words... :) We love to be part of this and we´re glad to see it´s working.
