Fleetwood Mac Star 'a Diva'

Lindsey Buckingham axed a gig after deciding the sound equipment at the venue was below standard.

Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham has been accused of "diva-like behavior" after he canceled a gig just an hour before showtime.

The rocker axed a Lincoln, Nebraska show after deciding the sound equipment at the venue was below standard.

Pam Gregorios, events director of Lincoln's Rococo Theatre, says, "Rococo staff and management were put off by his diva-like behavior ... and wondered if he always felt it necessary to be so rude to people who are simply trying to put on a good show."

After canceling, Buckingham posted the following statement on his website: "Lindsey prides himself on delivering the very best performance and production for every show, but in this case he wasn't able to do so.

"Lindsey hopes his fans in Lincoln will understand, and he looks forward to returning to Lincoln but under much better conditions."

Throughout Fleetwood Mac's earlier touring history, Lindsey has been the one who threw hissy fits all the time and stormed off stage on a couple of occasions, leaving the rest of the band to pick up the pieces in front of thousands of concert-goers. Christine McVie said that his behavior during that time was extremely unprofessional and juvenile. They were all going through the same stress and similar private dramas, but he's the only one to take it out on the public that way.

This little bit of news about his diva behavior doesn't surprise me in the least.
