blind-fitter
Tight Fit's rendition of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" (UK #1 in 1982) popped up unexpectedly in an episode of Dr Who last year; a scene which I found particularly sinister and disturbing. Groups of homeless people had been rounded up and taken to a factory, where they were led into a "processing room" to be turned into cybermen. The "Site Manager" turned the volume up loud to drown out the screams of the experimentees. Still haunts me now.... Tragically, one of Tight Fit's backing vocalists died about 10 years ago, from injuries sustained when attacked by a shark whilst swimming off the east coast of Africa. Apparently he couldn't 'wimaway fast enough.
