It's still a year away of course. You can remain an 'entire' until then, Ray. I think we're a pretty elite bunch here - no snobbery, anyone is welcome, and we all get on very well. Some of you even laugh at my jokes (my Family don't).

(Violin music in background). ;)

I've just changed one of my nominations after conferring by PT with Lucky.

I was originally going to nominate the 1992 acoustic version of Layla by Eric Clapton solo, but was a little concerned that someone might say 'it's already been in a Top Ten'.

The 'Derek And The Dominos' original (with Clapton also doing lead vocals) certainly has, but I feel that the 'unplugged' can be classified as a different version, and Lucky agrees. Hope that's OK with everyone.

Goodnight All. :)

Millionen Legionen (Unplugged) ~ Die Fantastischen Vier (2000) mp3

this song won't get (m)any votes for two reasons: 1. it's German and 2. it's Hip-Hop

but if you're brave enough and can spare 6 minutes to listen to it, I can almost guarantee that you never heard anything like it before :)

(and I'm also always trying to keep my promises :) )

the lyrics aren't very important - very psychedelic stuff:

eg "and I raise my quill as a shield against the pain

that reaches me from the battlefield of love"

and the chorus is:

Ich rufe alle Superhelden, alle großen Meister,

alle Highlander, alle Krieger,

alle guten Geister,

alle Superfreaks und Auserwählten

zu mir ins hier

ich hab Millionen Legionen hinter mir

"I call on all the Superheroes, all great Masters,

all Highlanders, all Warriors

all good Spirits

all Superfreaks, and Chosen Ones

to me into the Now

I have Millions of Legiones behind me"

(for more infos, just ask :) )

Zombie ~ The Cranberries (1994) Video

It's the same old theme since nineteen-sixteen.

In your head, in your head they're still fighting,

With their tanks and their bombs,

And their bombs and their guns.

In your head, in your head, they are dying...

Afternoons and Coffeespoons - Crash Test Dummies

I love the song and I love the video. They're both great fun! Watch it, watch it, it's worth it.

Virtual Insanity - Jamiroquai

This is a great video.

At the MTV Video Music Awards in September 1997, it earned ten nominations, winning four awards, including "Breakthrough Video" and the "Best Video of the Year

"Times when the day is like a play by Sartre

When it seems a bookburning's in perfect order"

 I love that song

"Futures made of virtual insanity now

Always seem to, be govern'd by this love we have

For useless, twisting, our new technology

Oh, now there is no sound - for we all live underground"

I LOVE that song
