Lucid Dream
So me and Farin i believe it is were talking about lucid dreams. I myself have never had one and I want to know those who have, and your thoughts about it. If you dont knwo what a lucid dream is it is a dreaming state where you know you are dreaming and you control your dream as your dreaming it so say your on a cliff you tell yourself that you want to fly so you jump off and then your flying but you know at the same time that its all just a dream your controling. Elvish
Musical interlude: Silent Lucidity ~ Queensryche Hush now don't cry Wipe away the teardrop from your eye You're lying safe in bed It was all a bad dream Spinning in your head Your mind tricked you to feel the pain Of someone close to you leaving the game of life So here it is, another chance Wide awake you face the day Your dream is over...or has it just begun? Theres a place I like to hide A doorway that I run to in the night Relax child, you were there But only didn't realize it and you were scared Its a place where you will learn To face your fears, retrace the tears And ride the whims of your mind Commanding in another world Suddenly, you hear and see This magic new dimension Chorus I-will be watching over you I-am gonna help you see it through I-will protect you in the night I-am smiling next to you...in silent lucidity If you open your mind for me You wont rely on open eyes to see The walls you built within Come tumbling down, and a new world will begin Living twice at once you learn You7re safe from pain in the dream domain A soul set free to fly A round trip journey in your head Master of illusion, can you realize Your dreams alive, you can be the guide but... Farin
okay, here's the Link there seem to be different stages of luzid dreaming, the study only talks about: The term lucid dream designates a dream in which the dreamer is – while dreaming – aware that she/he is dreaming. Within an unselected student sample, 82 % of the participants reported the occurrence of at least one lucid dream I had luzid dreams like that, several of them even... but it wasn't that I could control everything, it was only that I'm aware that I'm dreaming, and sometimes I could force myself to wake up... Levis
I sometimes get the feeling while I'm dreaming, that I AM dreaming. And that I should wake up. And I really want to wake up, I really do, because it's a nightmare. And I can't!
The Seeker
I just know the feeling when you're dreaming, then wake up (not fully, just a bit) and think It'd be nice if this or that happened now, and then you continue to dream and it happens. Is that lucid dreaming?

Red Fish
I have those occasionally. If it's a nightmare or something, I can usually manage to make myself wake up just by thinking about it.
Shawna
as Tinkerbell said in the movie "Hook," "You know that place between asleep and awake? That's where I'll be." I'm always dreaming. All day long. And I know I'm dreaming. And I try to control what I'm doing. But people just keep looking at me weird, like they don't know I'm dreaming, and they think I'm just insane. Farin
musical interlude: I don't sleep, I dream ~ R.E.M. I’m looking for an interruption, Do you believe? You looking to dig my dreams Be prepared for anything You come into my little scene Hooray, hooray, hip hip hooray There’s one thing I can guarantee: You won’t have to dig, dig too deep Said leave me to lay, but touch me deep, I don’t sleep, I dream I’ll settle for a cup of coffee, but you know what I really need Are you looking to drive my dreams? You here to run my screens? You come, deliver my demons Hooray, hooray, hip hip hooray Are you coming to ease my headache? Do you give good head? Am I good in bed? I don’t know, I guess so I don’t sleep, I dream I’ll settle for a cup of coffee, but you know what I really need I’m looking for an interruption, Can you believe? Some medicine for my headache Hooray, hooray, hip hip hooray I’m pitching for a new direction Pinch me when I wake Don’t tell me my dreams are fake You leave me to lay, you touch me deep, I don’t sleep, I dream I’ll settle for a cup of coffee, but you know what I really need Leave me to lay, but touch me deep, I don’t sleep, I dream I’ll settle for a cup of coffee, but you know what I really need

Lucky
I seem to often have "lucid dreams", I know what is happening and that I am dreaming. I can sometimes control it, but more often than not I can just wake myself up. My favorite occurance is when I have been dreaming and enjoying the dream, but I wake up. If I don't open my eyes, I can go right back to sleep, and re-enter the same dream, but put the twist of my own choosing on it.
TheLizard
I've been able to re-enter dreams too. I'm not quite sure how that's possible, but apparently it is.
MarcM
I've just closed my eyes again Climbed aboard the dream weaver train Driver take away my worries of today And leave tomorrow behind (chorus Ooh dream weaver I believe you can get me through the night Ooh dream weaver I believe we can reach the morning light Fly me high through the starry skies Maybe to an astral plane Cross the highways of fantasy Help me to forget today's pain (chorus again Though the dawn may be coming soon There still may be some time Fly me away to the bright side of the moon And meet me on the other side

MarcM
I had a dream last night, though not lucid, I do remember a good portion of it. I was at Pete Townshend's castle and we were talking about music and his songs. He was doing most of the talking, though, and did not want to discuss the deaths of Keith or John. It got him upset, then rather pissy when I tried to ask another question about them. Pete was also wearing a big, black cape, as I am sure he is prone to do... edna
What a nice dream... I like it when I dream of famous people and it´s all so natural being there with them... I once dreamed of a whole Pink Floyd concert, full-colour. great sound. I was the promoter. Once I dreamed The Beatles were playing in a bar near my house, the next door. My boyfriend told me to get out of bed and see them but I told him I would see them another time, I was sleepy.
