c_s_1987 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2007 (edited) This game is pretty much exactly the same as the memory game in the Music Discussion thread. Someone posts a group of popular songs that were released in different years, and people have to guess when the songs were released in chronological order. I'll start with one song from each year of a decade of music pretty much everyone here loves - the 70s. 25 or 6 to 4 - Chicago American Pie - Don McLean Breakfast in America - Supertramp Dreadlock Holiday - 10cc Fame - David Bowie (Bang A Gong) Get It On - T. Rex Hotel California - The Eagles Live and Let Die - Paul McCartney and Wings Play That Funky Music - Wild Cherry You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet - Bachman-Turner Overdrive The release years are based on the American release dates given in Wikipedia. I will release the answers whenever I feel like it, but it should be in about 3 days or so. Edited March 16, 2007 by Guest

Lucky 5 Report post Posted March 16, 2007 (edited) Well dammit Chris, I was there! Maybe I had one too many brownies, but that's the way I remember it! This is going to drive me crazy. There's only 2 I would even want to switch, and watch they'd be the wrong 2. Edited March 16, 2007 by Guest
c_s_1987 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2007 So these lyrics don't ring a bell? Maybe not, it wasn't such a big hit in the US, but it was a #1 in the UK and is popular here in Australia: I was walkin' down the street Concentratin' on truckin' right I heard a dark voice beside of me And I looked round in a state of fright I saw four faces one mad A brother from the gutter They looked me up and down a bit And turned to each other I say I don't like cricket oh no I love it I don't like cricket oh no I love it Don't you walk thru my words You got to show some respect Don't you walk thru my words 'Cause you ain't heard me out yet Well he looked down at my silver chain He said I'll give you one dollar I said you've got to be jokin' man It was a present from me Mother He said I like it I want it I'll take it off your hands And you'll be sorry you crossed me You'd better understand that you're alone A long way from home And I say I don't like reggae no no I love it I don't like reggae oh no I love it Don't you cramp me style Don't you queer on me pitch Don't you walk thru my words 'Cause you ain't heard me out yet I hurried back to the swimming pool Sinkin' pina coladas I heard a dark voice beside me say Would you like something harder She said I've got it you want it My harvest is the best And if you try it you'll like it And wallow in a Dreadlock Holiday And I say Don't like Jamaica oh no I love her Don't like Jamaica oh no I love her oh yea Don't you walk thru her words You got to show some respect Don't you walk thru her words 'Cause you ain't heard her out yet I don't like cricket I love it (Dreadlock Holiday) I don't like reggae I love it (Dreadlock Holiday) Don't like Jamaica I love her (Dreadlock Holiday)

_Laurie_ 7 Report post Posted March 16, 2007 79 was the year I graduated, and I'm pretty sure Breaksfast in America came out then, but then again I could be wrong on that...lol...Hotel California I thought was 76....I could rearrange mine, but I'd probably make it worse. Sadly, worse. There were three songs that you had right the first time that you got wrong this time. Feel free to keep on trying, or give up. Either way is fine with me.
